Tech Grinder

So..tech broker eh? What do they do then?

Oh, for delivering them some 'randomly found materials' they will 'unlock' a new module for you?

Wow! Does that sound like adding grind to grind or what? I gotta go around a bunch of locations (details of which cannot be found in game), grind scans, combat, and Open / Solo / PG flipping to get enough materials to upgrade my weapons at engineers, then I get to do it all again to unlock a new weapon? Does the tech broker weapons also get engineered grind over grind over grind?

Seriously, I did not think it possible to make material collection EVEN MORE FRUSTRATING - but well done Frontier you did manage to depress me completely.

I need a hotline to the RNGEsus...

You haven't even played with the new meta but already know how it won't work. There are a thousand posts on this Forum similar. Let's go for experience then complain about it. Meanwhile every major update often screws up past meta which is really what Beta is all about. Let's focus on that.

30 or so of a few mats isn't so bad. You should be able to knock most of that out in a play session or two.

I see it as an excellent way of getting rid of materials I normally have to discard, once in a while.

Naturally, if you have an obsessive compulsion to grind every weapon on the first day, well, that's your problem.

That depends on what you consider to be a 'session'. It took a week to get enough materials to unlock a G5 FSD upgrade.

As to waiting to find out if it sux - it clearly does. The biggest issue with engineers is the RNG for mats - and now they add another RNG for mats? How is that NOT a problem? And regardless of whether it is or is not LIVE, they aren't going to remove the tech broker now are they - the only thing they MIGHT do is buff or nerf the qualities and types of mats required to unlock tech.

So - more time spent gathering mats....fabulous!

Acquiring particular mats is likely to be easier than ever with the addition of the materials trader.

No, you dont got to go do anything. If you dont think it sounds like something you want to do, I strongly encourage you to not do it.

I cant - no BETA on PS4...sigh. We just pray to RNGesus over here....

To be blunt there's not a lot I can do about that.

But beta is still happening. Just because you aren't in it, doesn't mean nobody is.

Think on that for a minute.

And also this.

How about we let the Beta land, let the guys who have access try it, and then, have the obligatory whinge after it's got full release? ;)
