technical help needed.... VA, ED...

Hi there...

Well, As ED took a minute to load between hitting the PLAY button and the FRONTIER banner coming up, I decided to reinstall the Windows 7 64b from scratch.

Well, still the same problem, but not the case neither reason of my post.

I got VoiceAttack running, used my stored profile, same thing under ED for the keystrokes... under ED the keybindings are correct AND working, under VA the commands are understood and executed (tryied with notepad open so I see what comes out of VA).

Now well, looks like VA doesn't communicate with ED. It listens and responses, but the commands aren't passed to ED. Tried under VA ACTIVE WINDOWS, ELITE window.... well,

any help welcome... tia

It seems like you have forgotten to start VoiceAttack using "run as administrator". This would be my first suggestion.

This shouldn't be an issue at all unless you run E : D as Admin as well. I would suggest insuring your version of DirectX is up to date and you have the .Net framework fully installed and up to date also. I believe off hand the latest version is 4.5~.

As you can see it has solved OP's issue. As well it is exactly the same with ED and VA in Win 8.1. I had the user - administrator, ran ED as usual and ran VA as usual (without starting it "run as administrator") and had exactly the same issue. The issue was resolved simply starting it using "run as administrator".

Now I have to RE-thank you again... I had another problem with a keymapper software, where I wanted to map a button to a key, so that I can activate VA through a joy-button..... Now, J2K, works finally too!!!!!! Thnks :)
