Yes.
And if someone could explain the lore/logic to me here, that would be peachy. We have telepresence MultiCrew "modules" that enable us to join ships and pilot SLFs throughout the galaxy. But these modules can't be fitted to the SRV? Why is that?
Its simple.
Frontier Developments screwed up. Rather than pay attention to their own world building, a couple of people during a livestream came up with an off the cuff "cool" explanation, and it stuck.
Given that this miraculous communications technology has not had any effect either economically or militarily on the rest of Human space, I feel it's safe to conclude that this technology doesn't actually exist, and that how instant multi-crew actually works is a mystery, like instant cargo loading and unloading, and each of us are free to explain it in a way that makes personal sense.
Personally, I'm going with the explanation that instant multi-crew works by surgically altering unregistered slaves to look like your friends. This is done to con the powers that be into paying out bounties to people who aren't really there. People who do this are horrible, horrible monsters, and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. Ashamed!
And yes, OP, I do think SRV operation should be a part of multi-crew, and probably would've if Frontier hadn't decided to rush this feature out the door in an effort to cater to the instant gratification crowd.
