Tell me about fixed weapons...

What about a Python? I vaguely recall reading somewhere that the two medium hardpoints are good for fixed weapons. Does that sound right? What about the large ones?

The large ones are two miles apart on the upper portion of the ship behind the cockpit, only good for gimballs. There is a third underneath like a big <haha, I can't believe the word I used is censored>.

Python can be used very effectively with 3x APA or large lasers (fixed). It is just matter of practice.
