Ten times

This thread reminds me of customers who claim "I am never going to shop here again" as if the person behind the counter will be devastated for life... spoiler alert : we aren't, in fact will be laughing and making fun of you at you as soon as you walk out the door (if not before).

Unfortunately, just like the op, they do come back :(

Just once I would love someone to say "I am never coming back" and actually never come back.

0/5 Bazmesons.
Baz stuck to his guns.
Now there was a forumite who actually followed through with his claim.
Much respect to him (and his friend)

I've seen bingo cards in this forum, but are there betting tables? I bet he replies to this thread...what do I win if 'Im right?

It is odd that he's giving up the forum. The general take away I got is "I am sick and tired of the developers, ra ra ra, and to show how much, Im going to only play EDO and not rant in the forums".

That's backwards to standard ranting procedure, but how wonderous if that could be applied across the board...that'd be nice.

We reached the upgrade 10, and Frontier seems willing to celebrate it as if those updates are about good things introduced to EDO. They are not. Those ten updates are clumsy attempts to solve serious problems, creating others in the process, and an absurd lack of coherence. There is nothing to thank Frontier for. They just (sometimes barely) did their job fixing a shame mess travesty of "full release" they created themselves.

EDO is now more stable, and the performance better. But still EDO "release" is sorely lacking relevant and engaging content, better immersive missions and a useful grinding system instead of a very aggravating (and useless) one.

Finally, imo EDO still is a huge disappointment. Frontier, by mysterious motives, decided to turn ED from an exciting exploration game to a boring and repetitive first person shooter experience.

Yes, we still have all 2022 to see if good things are introduced. But Frontier past record of poor ideas doesn't seem to confirm those expectations.

To the haters and trolls, there's a good motive for celebrations: this is my last post here (and it has a good chance to be censored). I'm done. I shall still play EDO -- I pay a good money for it anyway - and I still, against all odds, have hope that Frontier suffer a NMS's Hello Games syndrome and decides to give us a HUGE improvement in content, quality and transparency for free in the years to come.

Let's see. At least in my case, Frontier, I'll see what will happen to "once upon a time amazing" Elite Dangerous in silence. You're welcome. One less annoying guy to bother you, eh?
I don't get it: who forces you to do the personal shooter stuff? I don't, because I don't like FPS and I like to fly, and exploration is still there and better than it was... even if yes, I would like more content to explore. Really. IMO the shooter is a first step, because they HAD to introduce it as competition already did. You have to think strategically.

Well, no one forces you to play oddyssey content, its entirely optional. Preety much as anything else in-game, you doing, what you want to do it. If you dont wanna, then dont do it. Its simple as it can be.

Well, exploration, certainly is not boring, nah, its super exciting, especially if you need jump 1200+ times to reach your destination, better yet, if you wanna fully scan and map every system while at it... even more exciting it gets, when you doing it after 1m of LY traveled and having atleast 50k systems visited.
That was exploration in nutshell.

I found oddysey grind as fresh layer of yet another gameplay loops. Its not perfect, but it could be much more worse, and it certainly have potential to be something better.
I like fact that I can move out of my ship, walk around it, and doing pew pew on foot, if needed.

Odyssey to me is a great first step that introduced a lot of new grounds. Haters don't even try to appreciate that. Now Frontier has a very solid starting point to introduce many new things, I just hope they really have a clear vision regarding what to do next with all the great tools they've created. We shall see.

I agree. It's a platform to build more stuff on. Admittedly an unstable and leaky platform that needed a lot of fixing, but I'm pretty optimistic about the next few years. Assuming I can get the time to play it.
