Why not replace one of the AFMU's with a 3D Repair controller?

Thats fine as long as you've got the mats to pay for 3x as many limpets to get the same amount of hull repairI’d opt for a 1D instead as it has a negligible effect on the range. You don’t have to worry about speed of repair when you’re not under attack.
So the 100ly barrier wasn't broken after all.

Fair enough.I’ve never needed more than 4 at a time anyway. Using 1 or 2 and jettisoning the rest would be a waste of limpets.![]()
Hmmm. I can't see them. v4.19.4.1Edit: EDSY has now added the new drives!
Here's how it looks to me:

That's correct. I have that build. It's max range is 99.38 and neutron boosted range is 397.5. Maximum jump I made was 396 ly from 18 Camelopardalis to HIP 57860. For some reason even if your ship info says your range is 397.5 you cant jump that much, not even 397. 396 was max I managed.I calculate 99.38LY maximum possible range for a Mandalay.
I haven't tested this yet but the build is presumably roughly this one? That's correct. I have that build. It's max range is 99.38 and neutron boosted range is 397.5. Yes, build is same except I have usual fuel tank, and just SCO around to lower it bellow 6t.I haven't tested this yet but the build is presumably roughly this one?
For that build, EDSY calculates an unladen range of 99.11 with the fuel tank full or 99.38 "MAX" which would need you to get the fuel tank down to precisely 5.2 t left. At that point, the RHS panel in-game should display a "current" jump of 99.21 ly but it will be lying, because that calculation includes the fuel in the reserve tank, whereas when you actually try to perform a jump the game magically ignores that fuel and so it should let you jump 99.38*4 ly with the overcharge.
When you say "you can't jump that much", did you try to plot the route in the galmap or just select the destination and then try to engage the hyperdrive? (I believe the latter is the only way to do it because IIRC the former assumes that your fuel tank will be full when you try to jump.)
397 ly should have been easy-ish because I estimate that you should be able to do that with just over 5.6 t of fuel remaining - a pretty healthy margin to the bare minimum 5.2+epsilon...
(Since I've not yet tried this larking about I'm curious: how are you getting the fuel trimmed just right for this? Does the status.json update often enough to do the trick?)
Well that's really weird then. Maybe there's a(nother) bug in the game which prevents this from working... :-SI thought like you about 397 but it does not allow you. Left panel show 397.5 but at that moment if you try to jump just 397 it will not allow you.
Of course I did not plot a route, just selected a target.
Maybe rounding errors?Well that's really weird then. Maybe there's a(nother) bug in the game which prevents this from working... :-S
Who knows. But 397.50 should really not round in such a way that even 397 is not possible...Maybe rounding errors?
