THANK YOU for listening

I am sure it is some kind of joke you don’t understand.

What I don’t understand is why you think that it was potentially antisemitic.
I suppose I confused "yew" (which I don't know what it means) with "jew". When "jew" is attached to a common word (that usually doesn't have it), in many cases the intent is antisemitic. And I suppose it's not impossible for someone to deliberately write it as "yew" instead.

Yew is an extremely long lived tree the wood of which was the preferred material to make the English longbow of Robin Hood and Agincourt fame.

Really glad I didn't have to grind to 50% - and check every day I'd not been relegated below that - to qualify for the cargo rack. I just want one. Did a few trades, got bored, did something else. Nice. In the past I have done the trade grind to qualify for the thing I wanted. Now that was soul destroying. Hating the game a bit more after each trade, but trying to focus on the goal and the fun stuff the reward might allow for. This change actually got me playing mid-week for an hour or so. Rare.

I hope this is just some kind of joke I don't understand instead of being antisemitic.
What?
That is laughable, sorry!

ETA: the forum rules explicitly forbid religion & politics being discussed, as well as forbid personal attacks... Being a reasonable stickler to these rules, I normally manage to avoid actually breaking any...

It's worth noting that FDev's stated reason for the change to the CG is the massive support it received, not the minority of loud complaints.
There wasn’t much higher number of participants for part under initial conditions (including alts use which Fdev can easily identify with access to hard numbers). There was just short RP announcement (by CM) which in fact wasn’t supported by numbers. Conclusion: loud minority had big part in change of plans.

Lol no there's like double the number of participants of most trade CGs. The whole thing would have been completed over the weekend if they hadn't changed it, seems thousands of commanders were perfectly happy just cracking on with hauling as it was. 🤷 I won't deny FDev threw the whingers a bone here, but they've also recognised the CG was very popular and extended it to give more people chance to take part, which I have to give them credit for. Not to mention doubling the reward for the folks in the top 50% who weren't complaining about having to make more than minimal effort. Thanks, FDev! ❤️

Very close to normal CG end, then conditions changed and number of participants started climbing up. Previous hauling CGs: 2433, 5809, 2727 ... What to say, at time of change it was just ordinary CG with special reward and earlier finish. Inara data can even give nice look how changed delivery amounts in time, nice source for make analysis based on facts.

Bruh you suck at maths 🤣 How is 3,786 "very close to normal CG end" which is, as evidenced by yourself, usually considerably less than 3,000, except the one where we only had to deliver a single Titan drive component (the 5,809 outlier)?

As I have shown above, there simply was not double amount of participants when this CG should normally end. In case of 3000 participants as common participation is 3800 participants increase by 27%.

But why are you comparing a CG with an otherwise unobtainable module reward with an ordinary trade CG.

Reading own posts before replying is not a bad idea ..

Jesus wept 🤦

"There's" - there is - present tense - I was looking at the current number participants.

"Considerably less than 3,000" is not the same as 3,000. You can't just make stuff up and call it maths. Even using your own abysmal figures, a 27% increase is still not "very close"!

A lot of people who have no experience of trade CGs seem to be talking very confidently about trade CGs lately, keep it up it's hilarious 😆

@Jack Brolin ... there was not any miracly high number individual participants. There was (again based on Inara data) fair amount of alts with minimal deliveries. I in my previous posts talked about original conditions. I play ED for almost 9 years now with participation on most trading CGs and I like to participate on those CGs. Is obvious that you have different views (which is OK), so have a nice day Cmdr! o7

There was (again based on Inara data)
Curiosity:
Does Inara acquire complete data from a CG, or just from its own membership participating?
Is it a bit like exclusive steam charts?

Like, if I don't launch the game from steam, and I'm not updating Inara, do I even exist, man?

ETA: I see in my log total number of contributors (almost 6,000) - ignore me...

Fair enough I take back my last point at least haha you must agree then that this was noticeably more popular than most trade CGs in recent memory, surely. It was obviously more popular than FDev expected given the speed with which we were approaching the goal. I'm pretty sure they noticed, is all I'm saying 😉 Peace o7

It adds numbers based on your (or other cmdr which have Inara linked account) visit at CG station. There is fairly high number of cmdrs "automatically" updating numbers, so it is very close to real time info for everyone. You do not need to be on inara at all to have use from it. I personally use EDMC with direct export into Inara.
