Since the free Arx system was introduced I've not once used real life money to buy anything ingame. I just bide my time, be patient, watch the free Arx grow and then exchange them for paint. Thank you Fdev for keeping money in my pocket.

I really like this feature too. I'd previously paid for a couple paint jobs or laser colours before and this sort of thing encourages me to continue to do so to be honest.

I'm currently on an ARX purchasing strike over the lack of VR in Odyssey, so I'm quite glad to be getting my weekly free ARX.

So, comparing game cosmetics to lethal, highly addictive chemicals aside, this feature is something I remember asking for and others asking for a lot in beta and after.

It was always recognised that FD got to eat and so preferable that micro transactions be focused on cosmetics but there was a demand for us to still be able to apply cosmetics to our ship through playing the game.

Can't really see the downside to fd listening to us.

Getting the best out of free Arx all depends on how patient a person can be. I just like to see the amount building up and then knowing I can get a free paint job every couple of weeks. I used to buy paint jobs with real money when I started ED but now, 5000 game hours later, I can't see the point of putting my hand in my pocket anymore. Thanks Fdev's... Free Arx is the best thing you have ever done! Indeed, I reckon the amount of free Arx I've used (converted to real money) has already recouped the cost I paid for the base game. Now I'm collecting more free Arx for free paint jobs, which converted to real money savings will eventually help recoup the cost I paid for Horizons. Don't think I'll be purchasing Odyssey though without VR support. That said, thank you for the free Arx, much appreciated.

I’m guessing you’ve never actually met a heroin dealer. They give nothing away.
