Thargoid Alert Systems

So I just decked out a Cutter with AX rockets and the works ready to go hunt an Orthrus. Now i find out that the thargoid alert systems are no longer to be found.
Are they completely gone, or can i find these Orthrus thargoid somewhere else?

You’ll have to be more specific in saying “They are gone”… because they very much aren’t.

First thing I would check is your map mode. See if it has the state filtered out in state view. Easiest ‘fix’ would be to switch the map to Thargoid War mode.

My other suggestion would be to check if you (accidentally) launched the game in Legacy rather than Live mode. The former won’t have any of the new Thargoid stuff, the latter will.

There are several Alerts around, and Frontier added a quite nice Galaxy map toy exactly for this purpose! Open the Galaxy map and take a look at the Thargoid War Information panel on the left:

Those five at the top under Thargoid Alert are the Alert systems nearest completion, at least by proportion. All will have Orthrus signals (non-human threat 4), though obviously there are various reasons you may prefer some over others, the most common being distance to you. Some are uninhabited with nowhere to dock, although these complete more quickly. If you select each in turn, you will be shown a bit more information; for example:

Here I have a nearby, mostly-complete inhabited Alert system which could use a bit of Orthrus-removal. Obviously this system probably will be defended either way, but hastening it will help others to move on to other Alerts sooner, which is appreciated lot by those trying to repel them all.

It is quite fine also to get a lower-activity Alert started a bit, although I suggest minding the day of the week if you do this, because any incomplete Alert activity will not carry between cycles. The end of each cycle is Thursday at 07:00!

Thanks mate. That was indeed my bad. I thought I would see a nice icon on those systems, but they only show in yellow color.
My bad ... thanks for the help.

I've been away for some time. Forgot some things,
