Thargoid base entrance

Hello Commanders
At a Thargoid base I've shot the barnacles and Thargoid scavengers and scanned what I can. How do I get inside the base to collect the canisters? I've seen on other posts you need a Thargoid sensor? Is this something you pick up? All the entrances remain closed. Am I doing something (obvious!) Wrong??

Go to a NHSS with an Interceptor and sometimes a probe or sensor spawns. You may need to yoink it out from under the interceptor, but with practice it's not hard.

Or you could try the crashed ship in HIP 17403 on Planet A 4 A. Nowadays you should be able to DSS the planet to find the crash - you kids get everything easy, back in my day .....

scan it, solved it.....reet back then lad we used to eyeball it like.....with eyes...non o that scanner probe thingamijigy….non o that fo us

but yes...to answer your question op. go to hip 17403 near the peladis neb at A 4 A u will find a crashed ship with 1-3 sensors. In my exp....the thargs like to pull u out of witchspace more when u have this in ya hold...but iv not tested this....good luck eh

before you pick up the sensors you might wanna install an corrosive resistant cargo bay thingy, not sure if the sensors damage your ship or not.

Ideally go unlock the 16t Corrosion Rack from a tech broker. Use a threat 5 (cyclops) non-human signal source to try and find a probe (sometimes there will be an Interceptor there), scoop the probe before it does (itll aggro) then boost away into hyperspace jump. Visit the crashed Thargoid interceptor wreck to get a free Sensor. Once you have both, find and visit an active surface structure to have full access to everything currently possible with a Thargoid base (for added fun go get a Guardian Relic, the blue glowing crystal, from a Guardian surface ruins site (use that ONLY after using the normal sensor/probe/link (link gotten in structure) as you will have to experience that for yourself).
