What happens if Thargoids win the majority of thargoid combat zones in a system?

Death to humans soon follows. Or maybe trade. Got ammonia? Or cats?

They just hang around for a bit longer until the AX pilots get their act together.
The currently attacked systems don't have a threat level though, so probably their presence is plot-related.
