Thargoid Interceptor PvP Experiments.

Curious, has there ever been a test to see how an Interceptor reacts to two Cmdrs duking it out? I'm sure if anybody has done, Canonn most likely would have but I can't see any mention of it anywhere.

I'm most interested to see results based on:

° Any two random Cmdrs.
° A Cmdr with a history of AX vs one without any at all (Inc guardian tech).
° Powerplay affiliated Cmdrs.
° Pilots Federation Combat ratings.

Just to see if the data shows any correlation. I'm thinking it would likely end up either a complete no show or the most intense 1v1 ever! But, it'd be very interesting if over a substantial number of fights, we could draw evidence on who of our species really ticks them off the most. xD

Just to add, to keep it a fair test I reckon both contenders should allow to be scanned first and both have to be uncompromised and 100% in their field (no previous powers for module hunting.)

Why would they care?
Interceptors alone are not agro unless one carries forbidden cargo or they miff off the interceptor (getting too close, ramming it and/or attacking it)

Precisely! That's exactly how I see it. Without those things they simply get out of dodge. Not interested. But, if they witnessed combat between two subjects of a different species, how would they react? Impartial? Aggressively to both? Or is there a pecking order post scan?

There's video on Katie's channel of an AX fight that got interrupted by PVPers and they brought the 'goid into the fight.
AX Chieftains run cold so the 'goid targeted the PVP FDLs.

I NEED to watch this now 😂

This idea of mine was more, purely pvp with no interaction with the bug to see if and who it aggros of the two Cmdrs. If its already been engaged it'll likely just be in kill mode anyway.

I was thinking more of an NHSS threat 5 rather than a AXCZ only due to the NPCs already getting the death daisy's hot under the mandibles.

NHSS 5 is a Cyclops (a solo interceptor) or 6-8 Scouts.
NHSS 6 is Basilisk
NHSS 7 is a Medusa

IIRC starting with NHSS 6 you can get either the current Interceptor type tied with the threat level or the closest lower rank Interceptor aided by Scouts (or 2 lower interceptors)
Getting the interceptor+scouts is instant agro
Getting the interceptor alone, no agro unless provoked

So the ganker will have an easy time sniping the modules of the AXI ship - assuming it's a skilled ganker that has rails and knows how to use them
Doesnt matter if the AXI goes cold - the ganker will use nightvision and can still hit the AXI at will (sure, no modules targeting, but using superpen rails will increase the chance of hitting modules anyway)
If it's the uncouth type of ganker (a frag boat user for example), the AXI pilot will have an easy time leading the ganker into hitting the Cyclops and getting agro

Rather than a competition between the two, it would be the goids reaction I'd be most interested in, just to see if humans are "threat level" listed to them (if that makes sense.)
Basically, can they tell if somebodies attacked their species before? How much of the initial Federation Mycoid attack sticks in their minds/mind? Or are they not bothered and just see us all as the enemy.

I'm probably overthinking it but if there was some sort of trend, we might understand them a bit more?

Most AX gankers use missiles rather than rails. Almost zero effort required since the ships are shieldless and won't have PD, a ship's drives can be dead before they even realize there's a ganker in the instance.

Still, seekers lock can be broken running cold or flipping silent run on/off and dumbfires will be a bit harder to hit with than plasmas since they're a bit slower
So if i'd be going to gank AXI i'd be going full long range rails with superpen

But then again, i'm no ganker so i wouldnt know :)
