I look for NHSS 5-6-7-8 contains 'salvage' also check for amon. worlds (degraded emis. grade 2) and Science Vessels but no probe. Anybody find any probes at this time ??
I found one in a NHSS 5 last week. Dropped in, saw thargoids and a probe floating about, scooped the probe and legged it before the Thargoids could murderize me.

Only Thargoid Sensors are at those locations.
If you go to one of the systems in infestation like evangelis and take kill interceptor or cyclops missions etc there is a chance the mission uss will be one where the probe spawns, and a interceptor wakes in after a while. Since the mission uss spawns the same type of uss / instance every time this will let you jump in and out of the mission uss (just don't kill the interceptor) and collect as many probes as you could ever possibly want. Usually there is plenty of time to scoop the probe before the goid even wakes in.
After a long long time searching for a Thargoid probe, finally I found one following an old advice: examining the cargo bays from the Hercules megaship in Delphi (with the manifest scanner, the extractor and the collectors, you know). I had to exit the game and reenter several times (also I played in solo mode, but I don't know if that matters). I saw two sensors once, and after several reloggins, finally a probe

Your best bet is looking in the Hercules megaship's cargo bays in Delphi. You'll need a manifest scanner and an extraction drone to open the cargo bays. Also I tried in Solo mode, exiting the game several times while in the ship location until in one of the cargo bays there was a probe. After looking for probes in different NHSS, I could find a Probe (and also two Sensors) in just half an hour and 4 or 5 restarts of the game.

Hello Guys I might be late for this but I scanned the hercules bulk class now for 20 times I can't find any thargoid Probe searched 4 hours at nhss 5 and still nothing can anyone help me?
Aww man you were so close... "Salvage" instances are actually the only type of instance that DOESN'T spawn probes or sensors at all.
Drop into NHSS Threat 7 "without" the salvage symbol and you will have approximately 7-8% drop rate.
