Thargoid Ship Accurate Scale

This was a personal project by an avid fan of the game, despite my periodic whines about longstanding issues with the game.

From the Thargoid ship asset we can accurately see the scale of the Thargoid Scout. If this is just the smallest ship then we are in for some pretty huge Thargoid vessels. There are no huge spoilers here, just pretty accurate measurements of the diameter and height of the ship.

Obviously everything shown is Copyright Frontier Developments.

There are tutorials on obtaining ship models from Elite Dangerous, do not ask me for details or PM me asking how this was done. Do not ask me for models, textures or any other assets belonging to Frontier Developments. They will not be given!

Know your enemy. Understand your enemy.

Do we need Aegis reporting names for these things?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_reporting_name

NATO reporting names are code names for military equipment of Russia, China, and, historically, the former Eastern Bloc (Soviet Union and other nations of the Warsaw Pact). They provide unambiguous and easily understood English words in a uniform manner in place of the original designations, which either may have been unknown to the Western world at the time or easily confused codes.[1] For example, the Russian bomber jet Tupolev Tu-160 is simply called Blackjack.

To reduce the risk of confusion, unusual or made-up names were allocated, the idea being that the names chosen would be unlikely to occur in normal conversation, and be easier to memorise. For fixed-wing aircraft, single-syllable words denoted piston-prop and turboprop, while multiple-syllable words denoted jets. Bombers had names starting with the letter B and names like Badger (2 syllables: jet), Bear (single syllable: propeller), and Blackjack were used. “Frogfoot,” the reporting name for the Sukhoi Su-25, references the aircraft’s close air support role. Transports had names starting with C (as in “cargo”), which resulted in names like Condor or Candid.

Something around flowers maybe - Lily, Daisy, Tulip, Orchid etc.

That's great to see in a side-by-side comparison. Great, and terrifying...

So... anyone figured out how to get to Andromeda yet? I'm not sure I want to be here to see what they do next. ;p

Awesome, even a comment from Frontier themselves!

So I'm not getting the ban hammer? :D

Is the season of wintertide forthcoming?

Andromeda Galaxy coming to Elite Dangerous as playable DLC confirmed!

Off-topic : Andromeda and DLC in the same sentence is triggering me.

Still OT.
IIRC, they only said no DLC .. they didn't say the franchise was canned..
Also, apparently you can find out about the Quarian Ark in their comics.. (boo)

How do you know the Thargoids aren't from there? :p

Let me be the first to welcome our new Thargoid overlords. Welcome, make yourselves at home, but don't drink the PG Tips or the Amstel, that stuff isn't even fit for 'human' consumption.

Hm...did I just hit on the solution?? Poison them with PG Tips and Amstel!

Still hoping for a Galactic Hyperjump at some point. Even to the Magellanic clouds, could be all manner of interesting things in the Milky Way's small neighbour-galaxies too.
