Thargoid stats on INARA

19115:53 = ~361:1

Harvesting scouts for combat rank, I died once when an Interceptor caught me in its shutdown field then killed my power plant. In return, though, I killed a lot more than 361 scouts. Several thousand, if memory serves.

So when combat rank scout harvesting is taken into account, the figure isn't that surprising. I'm sure combat logging is done, but it isn't needed to explain the ratio.

I killed a fair number of scouts in the Witch Head during the II and several since. I've never been killed by them, so I guess folks like me skew the stats a bit.

I don't feel any need to go larger (for the most part they leave me alone so I return the favour) which probably helps the stats...

Fighting cyclopses is fun too because it can be done “as intended”. For me the most fun is using a properly built T10 or a gunship with no fighters and no synthesis....as intended.

However the bigger goids stop being fun because although they can still be killed they require gaming a bunch of mechanics and taking advantage of certain software behaviors/limitations to gain an unintended advantage....and then grinding synthesis materials which I’m not interested in doing.
Tye higher level goids are supposed to be taken on by an organized team

Looking at the INARA page, the breakdown of kills does support what some above are saying. It seems a good 90% of kills are scouts. The biggest loss for goids this cycle was 247 interceptors to 1550 scouts killed.

Think that answers the question but still seems really out of sink with the story line Fdev are pushing. Thargoids pushed out of the bubble because of scout losses makes them look a bit weak 😂

Amazing. People actually tell you they are combat-logging? I mean, doing it is one thing, but talking about it . . . I don't know. It's absolutely nothing to be proud of, after all. Losing against the AI takes some doing, after all...
Yup, the reasoning was that the credit penalty was "too high". I said he was grinding out the full 100% previously, how can he not afford the 5% anymore? "He ain't got time for this 5%" he said.
Yeah, there you go. This is just dumb and dishonorable. If I'd be a game mod I'd instantly ban this player for a month and erma ban when done again on purpose. But this is FDev, harsh consequences don't exist and for this reason noone takes FDev seriously. They don't even take consequences from their own failures so how can someone expect them to cause consequences for others breaching the rules?
It's funny because it is true.

I'll be gobsmacked. Even for me, making money is easy these days, and I don't like mining and find trading on my own not very satisfying . . . leaving me with missions (esp. massacre missions, black box retrievals, and ferrying goods) as well as bounty-hunting. I made something like 40 millions today, and I wasn't trying very hard. In point of fact, I even managed to upgrade two of my vessels (my trading Python (Mogli's Bane) and my Mamba (Murmillo)).

If somebody is cheating in Solo, that's THEIR problem. I view those people with a mixture of amusement and pity, as they deprive themselves of a lot of fun.--
