Thargoids = Easy Credits

Some easy credits to be made hunting Thargoid scouts in the Pleaides.
If your allied with any of the factions at the attacked station, you can get some scout kill missions from the rescue ship.

Paying 3-4 million for 10-12 scouts (when allied). Plus the missions are stackable.
And there is a conflict zone just next to the rescue ship so quick in, kill scouts and out when the interceptors turn up. Rinse and repeat.

So get a decent medium ship (Krait or Python), stick some viagra in the hull and shields, get a decontamination limpet controller and a few limpets, 3 large (turreted) AX multi cannons and blast the space insects to kingdom come.

... I thought you were going to say 3 to 4 mil per scout. I don't know how long 11 takes you but in a type 9 you can make 5-6 mil in 10 min.

I used a Krait and was making around 40 million per hour (3 large AX multis and a Medium AX multi - all turrets). Looks like similar figures to yours.
It's not the best way to make cash. But an hour of that and you get 3 weeks of carrier upkeep and progress in combat ranking - I'll take it.

The key to the money making was how close the Rescue ship was to a combat zone (0.1ls at max distance). Pick up 3-5 scout missions, combat zone maybe 2 or 3 times (depending on kills and when the interceptors dropped) and back again. 10-15 mill better off and repeat. Could maybe get 4-5 runs per hour.

Also helps having max rep with all the factions in the Pleiades. Mission payouts not great when only Cordial. Allied missions could give 4 million for killing 10 scouts, plus the combat bond payouts.
 
Get half gauss, half AXMC loadout and also take shots at those interceptors if there happens to be some more experienced AX guys around. That way, you will get those sweet interceptor credits as well.

I could go full gauss AX loadout and clear up to the Hydra.
Just don't have the time. Plus it eats too many materials (Gauss reloads and heatsinks). You end up half the time in combat and the rest just going back to Guardian sites to pick up more mats.

That is not the slacker way. You are supposed to rely on other people. I have never synthed Gauss ammo (plenty of heat sinks, tho), but I have participated in killing of a few end of zone Hydras. With a mob of assorted wings and loose players of various skill levels fighting a Hydra, you can sort of trust someone to hold the fort while you go to nearby carrier to rearm. Also, I recommend mixed armament just because it's too wasteful to Gauss the Scouts too much.

I do wing up on occasion with AX squadron. But now with the split games half our group is still Horizons (Beyond) and the other is Odyssey.
So end up having to solo a conflict zone.
 
Every time i jump out to restock and repair the instance resets. would make sense if i was in solo. but I've been doing the Ax conflict zones in Open.
I drop in a bunch of scouts drop in. I see other commanders in instance with me not all NPC. I can clear threw scouts no problem in my type 10 haul tank all guardian out to max.
Come interceptors they seem impossible to kill and pound the ship out of me with way OP damage. and have to dip out to repair and restock. come strait back, and it new instance? When they attacked delphi that friday was having no troubles killing interceptors. now they seem immortal. Considering that 2 interceptors drop in and how long it takes to be destroyed should have ample time to go repair and restock, especially since i can empty all my guass ammo from 2 medium guass and all my ammo from 2 size3 shard cannons. and it not even being close to being destroyed. what ?

The instance will reset unless you are in a wing.
One of the wing can stay in the instance to stop it resetting.

There is also a bug in Odyssey (surely not!!!) that the Interceptor EM pulse is not disabling ships. Not sure if there are other bugs (haven't fought an Interceptor in a month or so).

Depends on what Interceptors drop. They aren't always Cyclops as far as I know. If those are Basilisks, for example, they are like 10 times harder to kill, plus they are significantly faster.

Btw, why bring Shards? Feels like a waste of slot. If you're into Scout killing mostly, just get x4 AXMC turrets, if you want to kill some Interceptors too, mix up with Gauss and bring some Flaks.
 
I agree Ax Canons are nice cause they have more range, but compared to dps my size 3 tur shards does ship loads more dps my T10 is big and slow scout like to fly over the top of me and usally explode as they pass. you get a good 4 hits up close as they fly over usally enough to kill it with me flying away from its corrosive cloud.
first cyclops i managed to kill was up close and personal with those shards devastating the hearts rather quick and effective.
I got the flak but I'll be honest I suck at using it lol. from what I've read and videos the swarm has phases and triggers for them and if you destroy swarm it just launches new one seem to better just kill half of swarm which shards seem to be kinda effective at considering its like a blunderbus. Personally I'm not normally for nerfing boss fight. but these cyclopes need to be. or difficulty scaled to number of player ships in instance.
