Well without the required weapons they are currently invincible it seems.

Agreed! If I'm 'buzzed' by other cmdrs, I take umbrage & attack them....let alone aliens with a history of violence against my species. I'm sure they feel the same.

Actually quite fun to fight, especially the little Thargoid drone swarm.... Just wish I could actually damage them, bring on the new weapons!!

So FD only added the hull repair limpets to solve a problem they introduced in the first place.
It would appear that thargoids do caustic damage. Our hulls have a new resistance thing, just look at that screen. Caustic damage also appears to ignore shields.
Also, many other commanders are reporting that thargoids only fire when fired upon, or upon detecting thargoid tech in a human cargo hold.

Mines do the trick. I put up a vid in another post. also heat sinks will set them off. Plus in silent running you can get real close and personal. And one more plus, drones run out of fuel.
