That costs... how much?

It would probably fare well against a lot of smaller enemies but I don't think it would do well against anything bigger than a Vulture since it will just run out of shield cell banks over time. It may be fun to troll a pirate with though, the never ending shields

What im imagining in my head now is some demolition derby with several of these T9's

actually I'm pretty fair you can take on medium size ships with that (maybe not a python )

My t9 is already tanky enough to deal with anything smaller than an asp explorer or to hyperjump away from say a python (a conda is harder to run from but doable)
and all mine has is 4 boosters + a 7d shield.

Reading around, I've noted comments that the C7 shields are a must for the Clipper.
So I figured ok cool. I'll go get one!

Heh! Ok, so I know that they have to try and balance these things somewhat.
But my Clipper cost me what something like 22 million? Maybe less?

If I bought a brand new car, I wouldn't expect the windows to cost me twice as much as the car itself!

I think if / when I have 50 million credits hanging around to spare, I'm going to be more likely to invest in a python (with trade-ins, etc). I've been itching to try that ship out.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Clipper. After a load of early crashes due to mistakes (which almost put me off the ship), I've come to really start to cherish it these days. Even with the absolute gash hardpoint placements!

But 50 million for a basic C7 shield.... yowzers...
That has to be the most expensive module I've ever needed for this ship I think?

Cant agree with that. Porshe would cost thousands times more then some kevlar or steel armor.

You would if those windows stopped laser blasts and hundreds of bullets aimed at your head.

IRL, armoring an existing car can cost 3-4 times the worth of the original vehicle.
