that crime system..

am i the only one that has issues with it?

got 600cr bounty, then got locked out of all of my ships at home, no indication of how long or whatever.. is this working as intended?

From what I've gathered from the live streams etc. The bounties dont decay, you need to go pay it off. Until then you're accessing the station anonymously so cant access stuff

You need to pay them off at the Interstellar Factors.

As Ultra said, don't crap where you eat and everything will be A-OK :)

thats just silly for such an amount, if it was for a kill i could understand.
my reaction to not being able to pay it there was ESC + quit to desktop. and i dont quit easyly...

So Flimley & vindelanos you guys seem know what your talking about - do you only get Notoriety for killing players or other crimes as well?

You can't pay off Interstellar factors if you have Notoriety right?

How do you get a 600cr Bounty? have the fines turned into bounties now ?

Assault or tresspassing, I assume.

Fines are still fines. They can be paid off at the issuing faction's stations.

i was shooting my wingmate in the no fire zone, then left to do some bounty hunting, and the fines turning into a bounty.

So... you shot your buddy in the NFZ, then went and tagged a friendly while BH?

Sounds like a solid case of criminal behavior to me.

if it was from tagging an unwanted/unscanned ship, we will see allot more of these topics like this i fear.

still find it stupid 97% on the community needs to bleed for what 2% does.. so far i didnt find it an inprovement.

Where did he say he tagged a friendly? The fines from firing on his wingmate (legal) in the NFZ (less legal) turned into a bounty on him. Yeah it works "as intended" but what we're questioning here is if the intention makes for worthwhile gameplay.

The increased the friendly fire threshold for 3.0. So you did more than just tap someone.

Check your fires.

Here.... unless the fine turned into a bounty on its own, which it shouldn't.

Regardless of 3.0, he would have gotten a bounty under the old build anyways. The only difference is, now there are more noticeable consequences for it.

You gain notoriety whenever you commit a murder, I don't think it's limited to killing players only.

Ed posted an extensive recap of the new crime system here.

That's correct. You only get it for murdering ships (Player or NPC. unwanted), and you cannot pay off bounties at the IF if your notoriety is above zero.

Notoriety decays at a rate of 1 point per 2 hours in-game.
