Another ship for my garage. I think I'll park this one next to my red and black hauler. Looks like it might be a stylish, fast and safe ship to ferry myself to my other garages.

incorrect.... that is not the FdL... shape is incorrect. and the wings on that model are standalone, whilst the FdLs are formed into the body of the craft.

Thats another ship that's yet to be documented.... Highest possibility is that WAS a Hauler, and the model for the hauler has since been modified.

Ninja'd on the first part.

I always saw the Fer-de-Lance as a really expensive, extreme, sleek, exotic and fast ship, a ship that went it's own unique way. Not taking it's styling from a hauler.

I dont hate it but this isn't the Fer-de-Lance I imagined, where's the pointy nose for a start, they rounded it off, where are the angles?

More like this, lots of stealth styled angles, like a luxury stealth super expensive large speed yacht sort of thing:

Nice looking ship I have to say.

but.. its nothing like a Fer-de-lance at all. Rather like the Adder is nothing like an Adder, its a shame some of the ships are not close models of the originals. :(

Most of the ship designs are pretty off I think, like they were designed by whoever designed the Ford Mondeo... much prefer the angularity and sleekness of the originals.
Quick google and wiki reckons a Fer-De-Lance is a pit viper, so it's only going to be a small ship.

As a massive fan and long time player of the original elite on various bit platforms I have to say it was the Fer De Lance that I always dreamed as a kid of one day being able to fly. I really hope if and when it makes it into E : D it is something special :D

From what I recall it was pretty fast with decent firepower and shields, so would hope for something in E : D like asp explorer in jump and killy capability, with cargo space sacrificed for killiness and a super king size waterbed, silk sheets, dolbi 140k surround sound and gesture controlled holographic glitter ball. Oh and champagne flute holders on the dashboard. Looks wise, I am thinking of something sharp and sleek and lovely - the flamboyant supercar of the E : D world. Fingers crossed :D

Oooooh, I like this a lot, but sadly, that is NOT the fer-de-lance I imagined.

Hopefully, this will sit in the 2 million bracket - I seem to remember is being about 6 times more expensive than a Cobra MKIII.

On second glance. Don't think that's the Lance, to squat, and no clear go faster stripes along the top, if that's a lance I'm a monkey's commander.....
