Is it pronounced as "weird" or "word"?

I think its neither, as a german speaker I pronounce it as [Ü as in würd].
I think thats what the "y" is for? Because both [I as in weird] and [O as in word] are already used pronounciations :S

Is anyone really trying to claim there are definitive correct pronunciations for all these silly names?

Is Diso DEE-soh or DYE-soh or Dih-SOH?
It's just the Elite Potato/Tomato "let's just call the whole thing off" thang.
Does anyone really care? There are billions of NPC people living in systems and planets with such silly arbitrary multiword, hyphenated encoded names that they would probably rejoice about having just four letters to argue about. A good excuse for a beer ... Pronunciations, Griefers and the price of Imperial Slaves. How the evenings must just fly by.

I would guess that at least a few people care; they made a thread about it and other people posted in it. Even you posted in it! You must care enough at least to make a statement stating you don't care.
