I am so dissapointed by this it is untrue. I was so looking forward to taking part and seeing what they have been spending so much time on. Got 2 UAs and moved onto the probe. Hours flying round a planet waiting for the RNGesus to kick in. This is NOT gameplay this is a complete waste of my time. I am a massive supporter of FDEV and what they have done with Elite, but this is just killing it for me. This may well now be the catalyst for me to leave it for a few months and play some other games and come back to it when it has been fixed 'again' [mad]

Hm... I think simulating space is done right here. try to find something as small as an UP in the huge void surrounding planets...

I had to use IsoKik's page to get the UP.
I flew to the all the Ammonia planets at first and ignored columns 4 and 5 thinking I'd pick one pretty quickly.
Oh how wrong I was.
So I ended up flying back to Pleiades Sector RO-Q B5-0 planet 7, read the fifth column (15.6Mm) and flew at 250km/s around the planet. Within 5 minutes, one popped up.
Of course, after landing at the Alien Wreck/Settlement/Whatever and driving in with my UA and UP, I went to the antechamber to get the UL. The three tendrils dropped with no ULs. *sigh*
So I gave up for the night and will figure it out tonight.
This game hates me sometimes.

Had the same problem with no links dropping. Parked the ship up outside the ruins. Logged out to do something else. Came back. Stuck the UA in first, and took the UP to get the UL (that sounds like a Game of Throne's nerd plot point doesn't it?), and then had about 5 attempts trying to rescan the central machine to get all three slots to light up, before dropping the items in. Finally!
