Very nice rundown Indigo!
Reps to you for providing a new player with pretty much everything he needs to know! All totally accurate too I must add, having pretty much done everything you listed for ridiculous amounts of time!
Good job! [up]
I'm not a protester honestjust wanted to fly my pretend space ship!

Thanks for the guide!
I decided to start again, I'd gotten myself slightly "stuck" anyway.
I needed suspension fluid for he hyperdrive thingie, and my system wasn't selling any. Lol
So, i restarted, and i somehow managed to start on the most inhospitable planet possible, hot, radioactive, and many animals who like to punch me in the face. Lol
But! I didn't die.
In 70 minutes I already have more money and a minor upgrade to my suit and gun that my first go.
I've got my hyperdrive up and running, but so far I haven't felt the need to leave this system. I spent some time (15 minutes) scouring my starting planet for crashed ships or new multi tools, but nothing so far.
I keep finding literally, mountains and caves filled with gold.
It's not as valuable as I'd hoped. Lol
But my local starport has a +105% buying price for a few easy to find elements, which has helped alot.
Gold and Emril are a good way to turn credits. And if you've established a base and worked through at least the Builder's tasks, the Automated Mining Unit is a GREAT way to harvest resources.
It takes a bit of effort, but if you follow the path of Atlas, at least to the first Anomaly, you'll wind up with an Atlas Pass v.1 - this will allow you to open the large red cylinders, which contain Suspension Fluids, Electron Vapors or Antimatter, which can save you a small fortune in materials over crafting these. The v.2 and v.3 Atlas passes have generally proven themselves to be slightly less useful - except perhaps for collecting the Green Box commodities.
