Having just set out on the return journey from Beagle Point for the 2nd time in 6 months (this time as part of the Thomaski Expedition) I actually managed to get to Salome’s Reach - is it worth my while submitting a photo of my ship panel showing the new distance to have it altered? I suppose it may seem a small point to some, but I was well chuffed to get there...and I wanna have proof for my son who’s a vid Game nut - that his Dad also can ‘do stuff’. I’m headed back to Colonia And hopefully going to change ship....and ...maybe go for the hat -trick. Anyway...I thought I’d ask

I've made it! I couldn't go all the way to OEVASY SG-Y D0 (Semotus Beacon) because my ship only gets 35/38 LY Jump Range. I left the "Bubble" early in the game when I first started without realizing what was needed. I missed it by basically 3.5 light years. Hopefully, Distant Worlds II comes close by, but either way even if it doesn't, in the words of General MacArthur, "I SHALL RETURN!"

I want to personally thank CMDR Deluvian for helping me reach it. He gave me his EDSM Flight Log from Beagle Point to here. I was finding it really hard to plot a course. For any other commander with only a 35 LY jump range here is the course I took. I did have to use Jumponiums: 6 Level 1, 3 Level 2, and 7 Level 3...just remember Commanders, you'll need twice as much in order to get back to Beagle Point.

Hello CMDR Anfield Marauder,

Although the list is not a distance contest I can certainly understand the "Dad also can `do stuff'" bit (I'm a dad too ;)). Therefore, as a one time gesture: post to photo and I'll update the distance.

Then how about me? :(

Does it count that I am father too and actually flew farther from Sol than anyone else?

Please add me to the list!

Ceres Jermus, just read the reply now, I’ll get a photo from my AspEx right hand panel showing the new distance from my latest trip out there for you. Hope this will suffice. And from one Dad to another...cheers...and I hope I ain’t opened a can of worms by requesting it - o7

Oh yes you did :D
I asked like few times.. "Not possible".. and to entire honesty, I just do not see, why this is such a big deal to update the distance.. but maybe it is just me :|

Oh no, he didn't! The can of worms opened with my reply

There is no other big deal in that I do not want to update each and every entry on the list each time a commander breaks his own distance record.

Ah whatever, check your entry... ;)

65KLYFSC disclaimer: the distance on your club membership application is the distance with which you will be listed as a member of the 65000 Ly from Sol club. Think twice before applying: the distance (nor the date) will be changed later on (that is, if the maintainer of the list can remember not to grant special treatment...)

You did indeed.. creating precedences is always dangerous ;)
Not that I want to complain.. but it should be actually 65,652Ly :D ..screenshots provided indirectly as I did not want to clutter this topic as I gave up on updates.. just wanted to brag about it :p

Hey.. do not worry, I should have read the rules before and just submit what I wanted to have on the record.. I just so much wanted to be a part of the group.. but also, no matter what.. to beat that damned record.. and I did.. supercruising for 12 hours.. cheating? wasn't it "traveling away from Sol"?
As I mentioned in my own thread.. this is not my "last word".. I am going to stretch that thin line of our technical capabilities even thinner ;)
