It's an idea for a future ship in the game. 20th Century Studios owns the property rights so it could not be duplicated without a contract nor should it be. ED isn't going to add Star Trek or Star Wars ships either.
But a mean looking ship developed around the FAS and Gunship designs that suddenly folds out two wings of missile/torpedo capacity better than any other ED ship. Add limited class 1/2 hard points for small arms fire. If Fox doesn't have artistic license on a totally different designed ship with wings that fold out with missile bays it's worth a look. It also takes longer time to deploy them versus say multi-cannons.
The positive is ED players are going to reconsider armaments with missiles above and torpedoes below. No other weapons will fit. Maybe when Odyssey shows up this ship could be unique one only having a combat ground vehicle like other ships have fighter bays. Multiplayer would be required to use it.
Just throwing out some ideas and see what sticks. In the corporate world that I spent too many years in is called 'Thinking out of the box'.
“That’s It, Man. Game Over, Man. Game Over!” the famous lines from actor Bill Paxton who died of heart valve issues in 2017. Let's hope ED players taking this ship into Thargoid space will do better.
