The ammount of commodities needed to build an installation randomly change

I am building 3 TIER 1 Agricultural settlements. They are all the same type so, in theory, they should all require the same ammount of commodities
However:

ALUMINIMUN:
1st settlement: 1089
2nd settlement: 1156
3rd settlement: 1086

BIOWASTE:
1st settlement: 571
2nd settlement: 563
3rd settlement: 579

BUILDING FABRICATORS:
1st settlement: 88
2nd settlement: 82
3rd settlement: 84

and so on with EVERY commodity
I do not know if this is a bug or a feature, but I do not think it makes sense that the exact same installaion needs diferents quantities of comoditties
This feature renders all spreadsheets USELESS

Not useless. As far as I've seen so far it's been the same sorts of commodities for the installation, and they've been in the same general range. I've not done enough to bother noting whether they always total up to the same numbers of tonnes to be delivered, or if that varies too, but I'd be curious if when crunching the numbers there are any patterns or it is purely a random variation. Someone will need a spreadsheet or two to figure that out, so definitely not useless.

As far as sense goes, in-universe, you aren't the only one delivering goods, the system powers are as well.

It is a slightly different amount each time. Spreadsheets are still good, knowing that the exact values change by a little bit. Also, the total number of commodities is very close to being the same. And I have NOT ever seen where the same settlement requires a different commodity type.

Why are the values a little bit different? It is obviously intentional. Some developer actually wanted to make it a little bit realistic. Obviously it would not take the exact same amount of commodities to build a large structure. There should be some variation depending on circumstances.

No, this is not correct.

roleplay that the union gets their cut, so you are allowed to haul all that material, happy to have a job

It makes sense that there is a bit of a variation. Not everything costs exactly the same. It costs nothing to pay attention honestly

Didn't notice because I play the game in Paintshop - so I always have the right numbers ;)
I don't know if you are being sarcastic... but I do regularly paste stuff into MS Paint

Haha this is what I did. We're fossils I guess :ROFLMAO:
Back a way I had pages and pages of ticks in three columns- F A and M.

One day my wife asked me 'why all these tally marks?' and I had to explain the Fine, Assault and Murder counts. She then found my sheets that detailed 'murder here, cause lockdown there, more data' etc.

"So what exactly do you do in this game then?" she asked.
