Nah, they really need to come up with some stock ones before considering a competition.Nice idea for a submission if they run an ingame ad competition again.
Is ARX addiction already a thing?
obsessing, needing, bargaining.
Its not confusing at all:
Take part in normal game activities like mining or missions = 0 Arx
Take part in anything grindy like HZ splating, material collection, honk/scooping = Weekly limit by the weekend
Flogging off modules to clear up storage space 26 ARX.
Hm. Sounds like Ferengi logic, or possibly (something the Mods won't like).

But enough about your love lifeI’ve had terrific luck so far by facing south when wearing green socks.
I can see the thinking - that you can spend a lot of time outfitting and fiddling with your ship, and that shouldn't feel "wasted" in reference to ARX earnings. But also, just buying and selling parts en masse shouldn't result in a huge amount.I watched OA's latest video last night. apparently there are a number of bugs that give fast ARX rewards for minimal repetitive gameplay loops and these are also being sealed by Frontier with server side tweeks and patches.
I wonder if these proportionally higher ARX earners are bugs.
I did 4 hours of mining and made 200m. I destroyed one NPC pirate and mapped various ring systems. I earned 30 ARX.
But if someone can earn 26 arx for selling old modules, that seems broken to me.

Stigbob's take on the whole ARX ballyhoo is bang on the money!
* +1 This is a one-time-only sentiment...he's pretty much wrong about everything else.![]()
I flogged off all my spare high class passenger cabins as I've turned my passenger ship into a dedicated evacuation transport. Then a few fuel scoops and other easily replaced off the shelf gubbins less than twenty modules all told.
Then I stuck supercruise assist in all my ships as after the tutorial I've decided I really like it.
The only repetitive bit was going through my ships (12).
Or, you know, on this very forum. When the novelty wears off, we may yet see an official ARX farming table on the main menu.
[Or more likely, elitedangerousarxfarmer.dubioushax.com/weeklycalc will suddenly be a thing.]
Shhh - don't tell them - they are not worthy! (And they keep ignoring it, more fun arguing I think....)Or, you know, on this very forum.
Guide / Tutorial - ARX Earning Guide
ARX Earning Guide You can earn up to 400 ARX per week. The week runs between the 07:00 UTC (Game time) Thursday restarts. Any ARX not earned in the week are 'lost' (i.e. if you earn 300 ARX one week you will still only be able to earn 400 next week, not 500). ARX do not expire - once you earn...forums.frontier.co.uk
Seriously though, right now it's a fun challenge to try and unwind the rate at which various activities yield ARX, but the weekly cap has a cash value of several pennies a week. Someone would have to put an extraordinarily low value on their time to change their play to farm them.
I can see us all fapping our wings in this thread (my self included).
Its impossible not to. Which is why i believe that the cake is a lie.
The system behind the scenes is changing gears somehow to keep us guessing.
