General / Off-Topic The best smell in the world

Someone was telling me yesterday, the smell when your eye gets lasered is very similar to that of bacon grilling...

Still want your breakfast now??

One's mileage may vary.

I once witnessed a guy take a deep breath when wind was blowing from a field which was full of freshly spread cow dung and urine. His comment was priceless: "Ahh, the scent of cattle!" :)

I realised a while back that I don't actually like bacon.
I like the smoke flavour... Lol

So now I just make everything smokey bacon flavour, without all the unhealthy red meat, and fat.

But I still love the smell of smoked bacon cooking.
Unsmoked bacon smell like crap though, and I'm always offended when I ask for anything with bacon at a restaurant, and it's unsmoked.

I mean why? It costs the same, but tastes and smells 1000000x better.
No excuses!

I recognize that we fall here in the unsustainable

:D

Chicken Tikka on your own barbecue.
The top of your week-old baby's head.
The first time you smell spring after winter.
New electronics.
Fresh coffee.

Congratulations. Also, I don't get the thing with new electronics. My little brother's been buying PC parts and he always takes a big sniff of the goods after opening. :p

Best smell in the world...a jar of OG phantom kush thats been curing fer 5 weeks...hangover? Oh that will soon be forgotten...along with yer name, where ye are, and what year it is ^

Tsk tsk. Wouldn’t it be better not to get hangovers? :p
I had one once, years ago. I didn’t like it so I decided not to have any more.
It works out well. I drink and smoke then someone else, somewhere, gets the hangover.

Cooked bacon. A fesh layer of tar on the road, or when roofers are doing a flat roof. The smell you get after a summer shower. A women walking past wearing Poison, always reminds me of a girl I used to know way back when. The smell of the sea. (spent the better part of my life living on the south coast of England).

The top one for me is Honeysuckle, love that smell but when you suffer from Hay fever its "I know this going to hurt but I still give it a full on lung wiff ". Same goes for freshly cut grass.

There are some smells I hate tho, one is a smell I get from some pine staircases, it reminds of a kids home I was in back in the mid 70s not a good time, smell is a very good memory trigger.
