The best T-rex in the world died, today.

I'm kind of sad.
My favourite T-rex, Trixie, I had on Sorna, died today. I loved her. She was the best dinosaur I've ever had, so far.

She was awesome. She NEVER broke out. Not only did she not panic during the storms, but even though her fence was broken several times by the storm and the gate was sabotaged twice, she never escaped. When the fence was broken she went to check, then went back to eating her goat. Never had to tranquilize her once.
Can dinos really have different personalities in this game? After this, I really believe they can.

A sad day indeed. The rexes are slowly becoming my favorite in this game. My first got a very nice enclosure, my Best fence at the time, it’s own ACU station, and never once came me a problem. Lived well past her life expectancy, with no genetic modifications, and was such a treat to have around.

Just to be clear - I have other T-rexes on other island and they are a pain in the butt. :D
It was just this one who was a total sweetheart.

I do understand the dino lifespan is a design decision and I do love the game for creating such emotions in me. But sometimes I really wish there was a way to turn the aging off. At least in the sandbox.

In peace rest Trixie, we will always remember you as a special dinosaur, now keep a piece of you in our hearts. I'm sorry, it's the law of life, she's now in a better place where she can freely hunt in paradise, buddy. :(

Haha, nice one. Even though I stopped naming the dinos after a while I got similarly attached to a Cerato of mine but for different reasons. Over the course of her life she killed 5 T. Rexes and one I. Rex. I know it's ridiculous in real life, but it was really impressive and her stats weren't even maxed out or anything. After the third one I named her ''Rex Killer''. What a badass dino she was!

I sometimes do this on purpose to boost their rating. But yeah, for a Cerato to be this fierce, it really is something.

Never had any problems with any Rexy so far. Only mission based, something I do not consider. And I can understand you. Sometimes I also feel emotional bound to one of my dinos. Rest in peace, calm Rexy.

My first and only T-Rex was dishonourably KIA when an I-Rex was [for scientific purposes] released into the same enclosure.

That's too bad :( my T-Rex Boudica has been pretty chill so far, which I was really surprised about when I first created her lol was expecting all sorts of trouble. This is kinda why I'd like to see Dinosaur statues as part of the decorations, so when one of my favourite Dinosaurs kick the bucket I could put a statue up near the pen as some kinda tribute to it's species.

It’s frustrating because I really am enjoying this game but the lifespans is such a downer...I hope I’m not the only one but I’m playing this game for maybe 6/7 hours a day when I’m not working and that equates to about the lifespan of a T. rex....I hardly name them anymore as I know the inevitable will happen soon 😂

I timed it at 1 minute 47 seconds per age when the game came out which I really feel is too quick, maybe at least 5 mins per age would be nice. Definitely not hating on the game as i think it’s quality but that is one thing that’s a bit of a pain.

Yeah, I agree.
I don't persnally mind, normally, but it really hit me with the rexie. But it can get a bit of a pain. Earlier today I was working on Tacano and I noticed this. As you work on an island for long enough, you will spread out the lifespans of dinosaurs. Meaning - I was replacing a dead dino every five minutes. It's like painting a Golden Gate bridge. When you're finished, it's about time to start on the other side again.

I had an indominus rex who had survived a battle royale of over a dozen indominus rexes and killed dozens of other dinosaurs that I sent to kill it. Got a huge infamy rating.
