You should be good to go with that setup [up]. Bigger parks might cause the frame rate to go down a bit but bear in mind it's still a very early alpha.

thanks.yeh i'm not getting the alpha, just want to know before i pre-order. saw this thread, thought i might as well ask. but i'll still be able to play it smoothly though yeh?

Im looking to get a new laptop/PC just for this game and few others, I have a small budget of £5-600 I know nothing about Laptops can anyone recommend something that can handle this game well please. Many thanks

if you're not building your own pc, you'll probably have to spend a bit more than that. mine was £750 from dell and the person above said it should be good to go so you could get my laptop i guess? it's an inspiron 7559

So I have only been on there forums a few days and have noticed that there are a lot of people asking about min specs and can my computer run it and what not and after a while they start to get annoying so I have decided to start a thread dedicated to this one question.

When the alpha comes out I propose everyone that is participating does a benchmark with the same settings using the fraps benchmark tool (its free) and then start a spread sheet that lists you computer specs and the min and avg FPS from the alpha and then all the data will be combined in one place and new people can just go to the spread sheet and look up and see if there hardware is on the list and how well it should perform.

If this ends up happening I will try and managed the spread sheet my self but if I use google sheets I should be able to make it editable by other people, I just don't want any random Joe going on it and saying oh I have a GT640 and a E5500 and it runs at 100FPS constantly.

Offical minimum requirements for Planet Coaster alpha:
Windows 7 64bit or newer
Intel Core i5 -2300, AMD FX-4300 or better
8GB Ram
Nvidia GTX 560 / ATI Radeon 7850 Graphics card with 2GB of Graphics Memory or better

hopefully I have covered everything I wanted to if you have anymore ideas of what could be done let me know.

My observations of performance so far
PC build for reference
6700k (4.0ghz)
32gb RAM
980ti (1367mhz)

all settings as high as I could make them

my park consists of about 1800 people with 8 flat rides and 4 very small modular buildings and one medium sized coaster.
CPU is sitting around 90% load.
GPU is hitting 100% load but jumps up and down quite a bit to below 70% with about 2.5gb of video memory used and never exceeds 70c with no more than 50% fan load.
RAM is constantly sitting around 1.2gb used.
FPS is hovering around 70.

just for reference for people wondering what the performance is like.

Here is a crappy screen shot of the park (dont know how to resize)

What resolution?

If I was to build one, What would you recommend to add? I know 0 about laptops/pc! So I dont want to buy or build something bad!

Hello

The game is extremely slow for me; could anyone explain which needs upgrading:

Intel i5-4460
8GB RAM
NVidia GeForce GT 705

Many Thanks

Hi, you need a better graphics card, at least the recommend specs, Like Geforce GTX 950 or R7 270/370, however if you want to run nicely in 1080p at least you will need a VGA like GTX 960 ore R9 280/380.

The rest of the config is fine!
I run the game smooth with an i5 3470(3,2GHz), 8GB RAM and R9 290 PCS I get 45 fps+ all the time in high setting regardless of the resolution i tried even 2K.

Smooth sailing in bootcamp on a late 2013 iMac with following specs:
3.5 GHz i7 with turbo boost
16 GB RAM
Geforce GTX 780M with 4GB video RAM

Graphic settings on high, resolution 1080p

Thinking about getting something similar to these specs...any ideas on how well it will run or what settings (low/mid/high) id probably be on?

2.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
Turbo Boost up to 3.7GHz
16GB 1600MHz memory
512GB PCIe-based flash storage1
Intel Iris Pro Graphics
AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB GDDR5 memory

thats a really really strange build going for PCI-e memory.. why not ssd? youll get a better bang for your buck. you would be better off getting a better cpu and gpu with the money that you would save getting a ssd/hhd combo

i would use this guide to build your own pc. i would not recommend a gaming laptop becausee they are much more expensive in terms of hardware. they are also extremely difficult to upgrade properly

I have the same issues with the graphics as many people above.

I have a ThinkPad Yoga (not a gaming laptop) and the game doesn't work fluently at all, eventhough I put graphic settings to "low".

Maybe it would help if the graphic settings could be adjusted more specific (e.g. turn shadows off).

Are there any other pre-built desktops which could be recommended for those searching for an upgrade? I am still exploring options but would like to upgrade to a new computer fairly soon.

Oops... I posted in another thread and then saw this one is where I should have posted. My apologies. Anyways, here is my original post.

This game looks so amazing! I really want to get my hands on it right now. However, looking at my specs on my desktop and I fear I may be out of luck with regards to my video card. The requirement says:

•Nvidia GTX 560 / ATI Radeon 7850 Graphics card with 2GB of Graphics Memory or better

Specifically what I have is:

Windows 10
I have an I5 with 3.10ghz processor
16 GB of RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7500 series Graphic Card

I'm not much of a computer hardware/ graphics card expert but am I correct that I will not be able to run this game because of my graphics card? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
