might have posted that too soon, seems war is still on?
we've taken control of forsskal but the civil war state is still up for some reason, station ownership happens at the end of the conflict but its possible that states haven't updated yet we'll see tomorrow
We may be experiencing a bug I think I've read about where updates can cause civil war state to stay active, again we'll have to wait and see what happens after next update

Just cashed in missions and bonds, and on leaving Thompson again it looks like the war is over. No conflict zones on scanner!

Whattttttttt
Visiting Forsskal and reading the Varati daily........ After a week of fighting in the halls of Caselberg point a victor emerged in the form of Varati Independent Union. Station officials hopeful life will return to normal as violence has abated.

Is this a different area entirely, or is there onion head in the air con of this place?

Caselberg point is a high security surface base on Varati A 1. All the big news huh? download.jpgGuess it's some sort of prison camp for our enemies?

whats the date on the news story? these are automatically generated can be quite buggy

influence report
.
The Canonn 63.5% up 5.0%, Civil Unrest pending and Lockdown pending
Varati Independent Union 17.5% down 2.4%,
Varati Blue Public Limited 9.7 down 1.3,
Varati Ring 5.8% down 0.8%,
Labour of Varati 3.5% down 0.5%,
.
War state is now gone, yay no bug :D
Another big swing in the canonns favour, great work cmdrs!
only need another ~11.5% to activate expansion state
however Civil Unrest and Lockdown states are pending for the canonn, Lockdown can be a problem if it works properly as it should stop our actions having an effect on influence once active
Concentrating on bounty hunting for the canonn should get rid of these states and raise our influence, Res sites are available around Varati BC 6 and Varati BC 7
Bounty hunting should also help us start an expansion without first starting a unwanted boom state (lasts 30 days and will block expansion, requires a lot of work to start a war and end before 30 days run out)

The war is won, but not without cost.
Yesterday it happened. The thing all space men dread. I was probed.

A man and a woman in white coats put me on a bench and stuck a plastic pipe with an end flange between my teeth.
After this, a tube was forced down my throath. It had a camera on the end and filmed my insides.
Then a wire was guided down inside the tube. This wire had a pincher on the end. It took out small bits of internal meat.

Oh well. The Doc said my ulcer looks better now.

You didn't get it done in imperial space did you? They might have left some 'designer' tissue behind to improve the aesthetics of your gut.

Glad to hear it went well :)

I wish I was in Imperal space. They are brilliant down there.

At least the probing was the top dow aproach. Bottom up is more scary. :-/

that's new! :D no idea how that works?
looks like the acquisitions department have already set up base and made a few contacts ;)

Well, It was a pirate base! Only makes sense, really.
That means Bond is now PERFECT for scientificing.
What flavour of faction were the VIU? I'm thinking corporate or confederacy, might have been why they locked down their BM!

Have you guys seen the bio-waste storm?
TL;DR Griefers infiltrated Mobius in force, worst indecent to happen on Mobius in history.
Players are calling for FDev bans (lol, really?) against the perpetrators.
Despite the fact that Mobius let those CMDRs into his group to begin with.

It's all over Reddit, too! Even warranting a response from Zac!

Ya'll thought I was paranoid!
Crazy to trim out the private group and force members to identify themselves in game and on Discord!
For what it's worth, I found 4 known griefers on our PG!
Who's laughing now?

*cackles maniacally, to the point of coughing, and disappears behind a dumpster... mumbling to himself*

This is why we needa janitor. :D

Those 'infiltrators', were they registered Canonn members?

The website is really secure, the mods in charge of permissions have a sometimes tireless and thankless job but they do it very well. AFAIK the PG was only infiltrated by a couple lesser known trolls. Others, like actual SDC members, had applied to join but were never accepted as they didn't register on our site.

Obviously if someone uses a fake name there's nothing we can do about the website - but almost every "griefer" has a youtube channel or a twitch so getting CMDR names isn't hard. I spent a couple hours watching the more popular ones. I'd get a glimpse of friends lists or see who signs in and signs out on the comms panel (much like the wings trailer) paying attention to what names show up when the cmdr switches targets, etc... I've got 60 names, which is a good start.
