Excellent news Pat - thanks! Things are getting interesting!
Just a quick one - as this thread is a bit slower moving than the Threadnought - we've started an 'official' UA selling drive, initially to Bond Hub, Varati - but we are actively seeking other stations volunteered by other player groups too (to avoid any 'awkward' political issues) - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=215441&p=3292427#post3292427

Perhaps caused by selling UAs at Bond? I guess if The Canonn's influence continues to climb it'll trigger expansion which might not be a bad outcome. So long as we keep VIU above the others.
Its not supposed to unless things have been tweaked recently, normally selling at blackmarket reduces station owners influence.
Expanding first could be a good thing as we wont have much to do in the system we are likely to expand to as there won't be a station to take over.
The only thing to do there will be expand again but we'll have to wait for expansion cool down to finish which takes several weeks.
Will try to keep pushing for forsskal hub for now.
My understanding of black markets was that different items had different effects. Items that would help rebels such as weapons did reduce influence, other less offensive items that might be considered general trade still increased influence but may have effects on other things like security level or wealth

Just thinking, it's possible the the Bond Hub UA smugglers might be causing an indirect rep boost - they might be picking up missions for 'the the Canonn' after dropping off. It's what I'd do for a player faction I'd already started committing my time too, even if I hadn't joined.
We don't want it easy anyway, do we - just means more effort being put in to raise VIU. If we end up hitting expansion, and it's successful, then that's a nice early Christmas bonus!

Hopefully heading in game in a minute - might even get up to Varati if I'm lucky. If I do, I'll get some missions in for sure
