The current CG proves one thing

It proves something alright, FD haven't the slightest clue how to run a game world - they just made every other way of earning credits in the game totally irrelevant.

For the sake of the game, I hope that when FD return to their offices on Tuesday morning they own up to this CG being an error and nullify the ridiculous payouts, despite the      storm such action is likely to create on the forums.

100 million credits equal 3,3 rebuys of my Vette. And actually a little less than 1/5 of what it is actually worth at the moment. Do 5 of these CGs and you have a combat-ready Corvette. Not really rich I fear.

How long did it take you to do two trips? You can make 100 Mil in 3 trips to sothis.

I'm pretty sure the payout was an error, but I'm also sure they won't be taking it back. The next CG will just be back down to the usual reward range. So if there's anyone here who did this one as their first CG, just be aware that they usually pay out about 1/10th of this one.

I never claimed to oppose it. I have always described myself as a mercenary. At the recent feds vs empire cg, I flew for the feds. Then I switches sides and flew with a squadron of imperials. And I recently helped LYR. I did the Fed CG and this one too.

I dont like alliance much, but the slave trading imps have nice ships. The feds have good leadership.

Exactly, CG's paying less than this are not worth my time. My fleet is worth a billion credits, a couple million is pocket change...

The Narcotics CG awarded 50 Million to the top 30%. Considering it was over in 24 hours, can anyone really doubt that FD wants us to make lots of credits?

You're assuming that the devs do what they want. Half my money was made out of mistakes, bugs and opportunities that were quickly nerfed. While they certainly tend to alleviate the grind these days (the cheap way of course, not by giving us more gameplay mechanics but by printing more virtual money), I'm still convinced that most of the cash printing machines are fumbles on their part.

It proves that FD wants us to be rich and have HUGE piles of credits. I only took top 50% in this CG and it earned me over 100 million credits. Top 25% in this CG was over 200 million. I just needed 2 runs with my Anaconda to accomplish top 50%. That is a much higher credits / hr than what anyone could ever dream with Robigo, CEOS, or Sothis.

I don't know. I don't think it's a mistake.
I think the previous "Capital ships" CGs had similar rewards, this is just a firs one that got actually finished. The previous ones timed out at rank four or five, usually.
