It went downhill very quickly mid way through the 2nd expansion. The quality of the content took a nose dive. I think it's due to them loosing most of their top developers around that time.

Its been over 4 years since I quit now. I have no desire to go back looking at the additions since then.

SWTOR, ESO, GW2 etc are all much better MMORPGs now.

Jeez a WOW thread on the ED boards ! I gave it 5 years of my gaming life and for the most part enjoyed it, well before I became disollusioned it was a fantastic experience but I suspect like many it just became too much of the same after an expansion came out. I started playing just after Burning Crusade released and was fully up to speed for WOTLK,, happy days.. Was wearing off by the time of Cata so had a break,,, went back for the Pandas,, somewhere makes me sad' was such a big part of my life, a real phase.

Oh well,, the only constant is change. (first time I heard that was from my boss, who was sacking me at the time :) )
