But a +10 Ly range and in particular the optional internals for more toys made me take the Conda for this one

Just a suggestion, wouldn't it be fun to meet at Semotus Beacon? I mean, we are already going to visit systems in the very edge of the galaxy. Is there a reason not to go there?
So, who wants to do some scouting with me? I will be one of the basecamp scouts, flying a bit ahead and scouting for basecamps.
But, to avoid that i dont have to do it alone and for the whole year, i need someone to cover for me every now and then. I know goemon is already scouting ahead as he is looking for the big system for us, but we need third scout.
Being a scout means, that you will most likely miss a basecamp or two. Or three or four..

I'd like to do it but I don't think I'd be reliable enough.
I would, but being AFK from middish December to March means it isn't practical unfortunately.
With boost it puts me under 53ly max, without I am over 54.... that's on fumes of course. This is one ship I think one could get by without having boost.

I barely could afford an Asp. It happened that since the last week when I upgraded to Horizons, passengers have been throwing me their money to the point that, after reading you guys talk about the Orca, I could give it a test.
The Orca would give me a realistic 40ly, maybe less. But man, in VR this cockpit is what I imagine the Heart of Gold would look like. I can't think of a nicer place to spend a year-long expedition. Yet I think it'll have to wait until we're back home...
ah, henkja, you got this wrong. "scouting" for many-bodies-systems is best done by the whole group, it's more about the procedure how to decide on a system, how to sign up for a body etc. ... i'll post a detailed draft as soon as i get more clear about how rare 110-body systems are (or two 55+ ...).
that said, i'm more than willing to scout for basecamps in a team.

Yes the Orca is a fine ship, and one can make a lot of cash hauling passengers in one. I do like the cockpit as well in VR. It truly is one of my favorite ships!
My range means I know I'll have to miss a few way points - I can probably do a bit of base camp scouting round the next one instead while I'm doing that...
I wouldnt mind helping if I can. It would give me an excuse to leave early, plus maybe give me more drive to keep going after about three months of travel. You guys tell me what you would like for me to do (if anything) I will be glad to help if I can...... Either way
