The Dead End's Circumnavigation Expedition

I think those are good ideas, CMDRs. My suggestion is therefore this for meetups:

Arrival starts Friday 18:00 IGT (In game time), events starts Saturday 16:00 IGT, takeoff Saturday 18:00 IGT.

A relaxed arrival, with a firm departure [smile].

I've added an UTC Offset to the roster in post #2. Post your timezone and I'll add it (whilst praying to the WIFI smoke signal gods)
Niiiiice!

Just FYI too, I usually play somewhere between 12:00 and 19:00 IGT. (I think I got it right)

I'm EST, although not sure it applies much to me as I'm already set out :).

If anyone is looking for a bit of a challenge during the first part of the trip I've got one for you: make your way out to Arm's End.

It's quite the challenge; in total I used 139 FSD boosts and traveled around 14kly out there and back. I can provide the short route that I took back with the number of boosts that I used if anyone is interested (the numbers may be 1 or 2 larger as I may have forgotten to record a tick occasionally).

Good news indeed.

  1. Beta announced: Check.
  2. Beta started: Standby.
  3. 2.4 The Return live: Standby.
  4. Ship refitted: Standby.
  5. Thargoids dispatched; Standby.
  6. Launch of the DECE: Standby.
1 out of 6 is not bad. Planning can soon begin in earnest [smile]

Damn I'm on holiday until 14th August am I going to miss launch day?
No. Launch likely mid September: 75%.

Good ty mate. Its unlikely I'll unlock Lori Jameson' s chastity belt by that date and get my hands on her lightweight life support modification but one can try.

Saying that I'm 70% Master rank so maybe Dangerous is possible.. ...

compromised nav beacons with their fleets of elite adders, eagles and sidey are you friend. alternatively - if you like mining and have good standing with the alliance, bill turner does G3, the difference to G4 is marginal. maybe we'll get a G5 with 2.4. ?

Just a bit of a nitpick... do we want the American time zones listed to be in daylight savings time, or standard time?

(For the record, East Coast of the US here, which means currently -4, but will be -5 sometime in October after DST ends.)

idea: collective in-character expedition log

i was wondering, whether it could be fun to write strictly in-character expedition log/dairy. in-character, in-game-world would be the main "rule".

i have zero experience with writing "fan fiction", and i'm no native speaker (but probably cmdr goemon is also no native speaker) ... but hey!

if there would be interest in doing so, i'd put up a thread for it once we are getting closer to start (in the lore and roleplaying subforum).

A quick question to you seasoned explorers: I have to switch off my planetary hangar during flight because I don't have sufficient power. So, when I land, I switch on the hangar to deploy the SRV. The thrusters are offline then. So, how can my ship take off when I dismiss it ? And why does my ship crash when I recall it ?!
