The Dev Dairy detective!

Did you realize, that in the "in-game" statue scene during the live stream the gaming / day-time at the right corner was all the time at "3:46 pm"? Does this mean we have something like real-time = gaming-time? I still would love to see something like opening-times and having a crowd standing in front of the closed gates before the park opens in the morning.

Maybe they just pauzed the game or it is a bug. I also love the color. I think you can chance it because the other time they had a blue interface.

I think that they just froze the timer rather than pause the entire simulation. That way they could show off everything in the same light of day. So no bug methinks

To me that screenshot implies that the first alpha may not have shops.

If you are referencing that the shops icon is greyed-out, it also seems that the demolish button is also greyed-out, so I assume this is due to another unknown reason. It would be pretty silly not to include shops when we saw them in the development builds, including hats!

Its an alpha, there is all sorts of reasons something may not work. The dynamics for shops will be a complicated bit of code (especially as its a tier system) and while seeing shops in the game and people with hats it doesn't mean that the shops work. However it does make more sense if shops are available having seen how much focus is on them. I just get the impression not all is as it seems and like the RCTW beta some pretty major things may not yet be working.

i cant wait to try out the Alpha, I just want the basics in and i'll be happy, a few shops, coaster builder, some scenery items and maybe some flat rides.

Once again we saw a really good live stream. I really love the models of the gokarts and kiddy-coasters. And I was blown away from the smoothness of the pov of the floorless-coaster. It had really nice transitions and looked really smooth for peace-by-peace building. One thing I still don't like is the banking of the coaster. I mean, it doesn't use any heartline-banking. I don't think it would be so hard to integrate it in the coaster builder and it would add so much realism! :)

What do you guys think?

i dont know if this has been mentioned but at 55: 40 u can see the peeeps walking into the queue line and a few moments later u can see some of their ´´waiting behaviour´´ like jumping and looking around.

On the clip of the swinging Pirate ship, just in the background... There is a barrel that rolls along a platform and drops down, to start again... Approx 60 minute mark

Animated scenery?

I wanted to talk about this for just a second... Get some ideas rolling.

First off, Is there a possibility that we connect our accounts to Frontier on Planet Coaster to show off our parks on a leaderboard like system? This explains the small avatar on the bottom left corner.

Right next to that, There is the park's name, and then how many guests are in the park. It makes me wonder if there will be 400 generated guests, or that they get generated more into the game as you get closer down (Save power?)

Next, and above that, is a tab that say Manage... What would this tab hold? Maybe key information, open/close the park, and manage funding for how much things like the entrance fee is?

Let's go to the middle of the screen

Blueprints: Custom buildings and rides and or pre-made Frontier builds?
Coaster: Ayy, We know what this is.
Rides: All Flat rides, we know this.
Shops: OBviously a shop tab, to place in to buildings.
Scenery: Foliage like things? I wonder if they're categorized into Tree, Bush, Flower
Buildings: Modular parts like specific pieces.

Let's go to the far right now.

Looks like there is a redo/undo button option. But will Ctrl + R or Ctrl + Y do the same thing?

This is honestly what I wanted to talk about the most, The nice blue section with a time on it... Does this possibly mean we will have dynamic weather coming and going in the park? Will it affect how many people are in the park?

Paths: Ability to implement paths, and we've seen a few paths so far.
Terrain: The terrain editor
Bulldoze button: Obviously the ability to remove certain selected things from the park

1-2-3 Speed button: Yes! I love this feature so much especially when you need to rev up some money.

Pause/Play button: Ayy, still a great feature to have!

Okay, that's all I have to say! Just figured I'd launch up some Hype. By the way, I didn't go to the Press Event. So don't confirm any information with me please!
