the dinosaurs dont even seem to be chasing my vehicles or attack them until i honk at them:(

when i drive in to a dinosaur paddock they seem to not really attack my vehicle until i honk my horn:(

i tryed it with a stego and a anky and i had to honk the horn to get them to attack me. i thought they were supposed to attack the vehicle if you drove to fast or honk your horn?

Then i tryed it with a spino and he did not even pay much attention to me i fired 4 or 5 med darts and he still did not attack me:( until i honked my horn at him then he turned and attacked me after i did it like 5 or 6 times:(


Also i thought meat eating dinosaurs were supposed to chase you and be more of a threat to your rangers? i did this test so many times with the spino and he did not even attack me until i honked at him:(


But the stego and the anky was quicker to attack me but still not very agressive:(
it took me so many honks to get the spino to attack me:(


is this a bug? or is there a option that i did not see yet that makes em attack you agressively ?

Most animals attacking people out of the blue makes no sense at all. Generally animals will just walk away if they want to be left alone.
Only animals that are very territorial or see you as food would attack a person normally. Or if an animal feels threatened or cornered.

It's MUCH better this way that not every dinosaur just attacks you right away.

Getting in close quarters and darting them causes the herbivores to charge you.

But I know originally in the game the Rex for example would lose it and go right after you back when you were invincible. I guess it doesn't do that anymore? Haven't tested with a Rex yet.

But I can say I haven't seen a Stego or Anky attempt to use it's tail on a vehicle. Wonder if anyone else has seen that yet?

I did it with Stegosaurus and Ankylosaurus the moment I darted them they hit me with there tail:)

I just realised you can only have 2 ranger jeeps in rtjp and that might be a nod to the novel and or movie. In the novel they only had 2 gas powered jeeps. Nedry took off with one and Harding was still out with Ellie with one when the power went out which is why they couldn't rescue Grant and the others or find Nedry to begin with.

It depends on various factors if they attack a vehicle or not.I did some testing and it seems that stuff like honking, geting to close or driving to fast will agitate them.

I think the mechanic works good enough as it is.

Today i got wrecked by my woodland Stegos.I was medicating one of them but got to close and another ran at me and swung it's tail.Fun stuff!
