The Dweller?

Hi

I have sold items at more than 5 "Black Markets" , but it still shows that 0 out of 5 on the screen when I look at The Dweller engineering screen on the right panel in the ship.

Am I doing something wrong or should I just go to him?

Common problem - should be able to find a thread about it if you search the main forum, can't remember if they found a soln yet

Have you tried logging out and back in? I remember It didn't update for me when I was 4/5 till I logged out and in.

There was always a lag with that guy when I did it but not 0 from 5 - usually one or two but its annoying and well known. Give it 24 hours.

You may also want to check what you're selling him. Many have had success by taking on cargo missions, then abandoning the mission - leaving the (now illicit) cargo in your ship. That cargo you can only sell on the black market. That's how I did it, and he unlocked pretty quickly.

Ignore the Dwellers screen in engineers, it's always a bit slow. Recheck your black market network in your CMDR statistics to make sure you have over 5. Then relog...

There's 3 black markets in Wyrd at the starports.

Do you have to be a Black Market rank? Or just sell stuff at 5 different Black Markets?

I was having an issue with finding illegal cargo in space to capture and sell. and when i did i couldn't get the Dweller totals to advance. last night i accidentally took a fed mission to move cargo from point A to B, and before i left the station i saw they had a black market. and sure enough the stuff i was had in the cargo hold was illegal. i found 3 near by black markets and just abandoned the mission and had 13 units of illegal goods. went to the BM and sold them off. I had to log out and log back in and then i got the email from The Dweller to come visit him. a few extra Fed missions made up for the canceled one with the faction and all is good again. going there tonight after work to FINALLY get my Power Distributor and Pulse lasers on my Conda engineered

Just 5 different black markets.

Need to unlock the Dweller myself, and so tonight I did a search on google and found an old thread that said the Fehu system (about 400 or 500ly out of the bubble) had good paying missions for smuggling runs. Went there, saw missions on offer around a million each,but didn't have the local rep to take them. Rather than grind that out I just bought some imperial slaves and did the 10 or 11 jumps in my DBX over to the Pleiades sector and started selling at the black markets in the Federation controlled systems. Two more to go and I'm done.

Does it count when you pick up illegal cargo from a destroyed ship? That is what I have been doing and no progress. Have sold to a couple different markets where they are illegal goods. I even got the Black Market trophy.
