Eagle is a darn fine small Ship. Looks like a Fighter, flies like a Fighter, sounds like a Fighter
Probably the best early Ship to begin to learn Combat with at minimal cost...
Agreed. Never used it as a wake scanner though. That's smart. Zip between points fairly quickly, fast scan, move on. Smart.I use my imp eagle for a shuttle and wake scanner. 40 ly jump range with a guardian booster. Fuel tank needs some love though.
Love it. Fun ship to play with.
That's what I'm using my Viper Mk3 for. Shieldless (protection just slows you down!) with a long range modded scanner, and very fast indeed.Agreed. Never used it as a wake scanner though. That's smart. Zip between points fairly quickly, fast scan, move on. Smart.
Thank you!Another awesome video. The makers of SC should really take a page from you when doing their mock commercial videos about their ships . . . particularly since you use in-game footage, and you deliver information in style (and a great sense of humour).
Thank you.

It depends on what you're looking for. Speed? Go Imperial. Agility? Go Federation.Eagle Mk2 or ImpEagle?
Been eyeing up that very paintjob in your video for a few weeks now, to splurge my freeArx(tm) on, but I don't know which is better... I do like the fancier cockpit of the ImpEagle better though...
As for the video, as excellent as always, good work![]()
Honestly, I think the Viper is a better ship to learn in. It's not as great in the turns, but it is a bit more forgiving. Then from there, I'd go to the Cobra.
You're not making my decision any easier, you know.It depends on what you're looking for. Speed? Go Imperial. Agility? Go Federation.
The hardpoint placement for the Mk2 is better, but the Imperial Eagle has a medium slot.
Etc, etc.

ImpEagle it is!The first part is true. MK2 turns a bit better, Imperial is much faster and still quite agile. But the part about better hardpoint placement confuses me. The MK2 has two small hardpoints on the belly and a small on the back. The Imperial has the same two small hardpoints on the belly and a medium one on the back, replacing the small one.
What's better on the hardpoint placement of the MK2?
