Now OP, when you said in the title "elephant in the room", I jumped to the conclusion that this thread was about why there was no offline mode. Then I gave it some more thought and assumed it was about the removal of Mac support ... then VR ... then I gave up and read the thread! Imagine my disappointment!

This has been bugging me for a while, so I'm just gonna hang it out there (so to speak)...

I know that Elite Dangerous is not the first game in the series, but I strongly prefer referring to the game as "Elite" rather than any other abbreviation. I don't know anyone out there who would honestly admit to "having ED" or "liking ED".

There I said it. I can rest peacefully now.

I thought the elephants in the room was interiors, EVA and earth worlds.

Besides ED is good especially for irresponsible people making copies of themselves? Then those irresponsible people grow up to be people who wait around hotspots for you to put the effort in so they can ask for void opals instead of mining it themselves!
