The Elite Explorers Hall of Fame

I'd say it is fitting that the thread is no longer undated given the recent shrinking of the yard stick. Let these legends stand proud.

Well to be fair, the yardstick finally matches the depth of the exploration gameplay available :p

Pretty much... I still like finding and seeing cool stuff though, which I realize is pretty subjective.

It would be nice if the exploration rank had more to do with exploration, etc.

For what it's worth, I won't consider myself to have "earned" the Elite Explorer rank until reaching 156,500,000 profits from exploration, unless that metric changes in the meantime.

I messaged Whiterose here on the forums again, but still haven't heard back from him yet. Does anybody happen to know how else I could get in touch with him?
Either way, I whipped up an updated list with a fun minor addition too. You can find it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TLTdR4SfPzskBW3huHPiTT4XjtEc2nEP97dsYWXF1Ck/edit?usp=sharing

"Elite Plus" and the bold CMDR name means that the player had either gotten their Elite Exploration ranking before 2.2.03, or that they had posted a screenshot proving they have over 156 million credits of exploration profit.
For a bit of fun, I've also included a count of the days since somebody has achieved Elite in exploration, so you can plan your anniversaries better.

If Whiterose returns, he's of course free to use or discard this sheet as he will.

Just handed in over 1200 systems and neutron star scans after my 2nd trip out to the core. Nice new Elite Rank,:D:D:D

I'm at 17k systems as of tonight.
100 days till I dock.
All is going to plan. somewhat :)
However I wish I could discipline myself to move faster. I may have to do like I did when I met Tom the Keelback!

Miss old Tom!

Well when I set up the forum account was not sure if they would like my full CMDR Name :D - So Nutter it stayed :) No Protest - Been Bloody Nutter since the days of counter strike and such /showing age

NUTZ? :)

Well here is a new member of the club, but I started exploring day 1 after release. Never even farmed in the core, no stupid passenger missions... been out on this trip since 2.1 dropped. Hell Colonia is the closest I have ever even been to the core.... its bright.

I've been working on my Elite rank for a year and a half and about to finally hit it. I've never done a sightseeing mission. That would kinda suck if I missed out because of that!

Earlier this morning I finally docked with Jaques Station after extensive surveys of the Abyssal Plain in the months since the end of Distant Worlds Expedition. There are still a few of DWE pilots out there who haven't seen civilisation since leaving Beagle Point. I decided to visit Colonia after I found an undiscovered planetary nebula deep in the western reaches of the Abyssal Plain. I managed to get Elite Exploration when selling my data. Elite Explorer will always be an achievement for those who genuinely love being out in the black. Any method by which it is achieved is valid if the pilot felt some of the wonder of exploration. To me, exploration isn't about racking up points or bragging rights. It is about that sense of curiosity. I hope this list continues to grow.
