Primarily, because the Alliance are bigger hypocrites than the Federation, which is really saying something.

While the Federation at least pays lip service to the idea that slavery, in all its forms, is bad, while looking the other way at the defacto slavery that comes from being an "employee" of a Corporate State, the Alliance does the same thing, while still permitting outright chattel slavery to be practiced legally on numerous worlds it claims to control.

I disagree. Sure, the vast majority of anarchist groups are criminal gangs but there are a few (like Imperial or Federally aligned anarchies) that get closer to the political philosophy.

My group's favored faction, The Nameless, seem like a hardcore survivalist bent on the idea.
