Not sure I'd say there are spoilers - the show mixes up where things are revealed relative to the books. So the TV show 'spoils' the books if watches in sync. And things were hinted at in the end of S4.

But then again I guess any trailer using footage from a show in inherently a spoilers.

Not too happy about them switching to an episode a week - I prefer to binge, so will be waiting for the last episode to come out. So I guess I'm looking forward to February :D

I never worried that they would stop after season 5 - it's kinda an Empire Strikes Back to ep6's Return of the Jedi (if you squint really really hard :) )

My only worry is after season 6 - there's a natural break so they could drop it. And once they do Season 7 I can't see a way it could be cancelled before it ends with the books, those three are the ones I really want to see* :)

* well, ok, book 9 isn't out yet, but my expectations are sky high after 7&8

Book 9 is 2021 which ruined my xmas reading list.

The bigger issue right now for the TV show is the cloud hanging over Cas Anvar and recasting for season 6, if they choose to. They might write out his character.

The authors also talk about that break between 6-7 where they say they cut out a lot of boring stuff, so hopefully Amazon won't get greedy and they do it 'as is'.

I sure wish somebody would make an Elite-like space game set in The Expanse universe (solar system) with Expanse ships and flight model (and space legs / mag boots). The closest I've come is Space Engineers, but that's more of a sandbox than a proper space combat / mining / trading game.

It's such a rich world, I've thought for a while it would be a great setting for a proper MMO.

As soon as a franchise 'is over' its chucked to the wolves. GoT has loads of rubbish micro games coming out for it. One thought though that if Amazonds gaming division survives you might get a game made by Amazon themselves...

The nearest in theory is I-War a loooonng time ago. You had that big ship feeling, resident techno-ghost, Newtonian flight, proto Belters etc.

Amusingly the Expanse was originally designed by Ty Franck as an MMO setting, then when that didn't pan out he used it as a tabletop RPG setting for his home game, (using the d20 Modern ruleset) which then led one of his players, Daniel Abraham, to say "Hey! We should really use this setting to write a book you know". The rest is history.
