It's more like BSG than Babylon 5. I kinda miss that kind of show... you know, where you could actually get to know the places and the people. The biggest issue I have with the Expanse is that often characters have to do stupid things in order to progress the plot, and you basically go "why?". Or when the writers make rather big logical mistakes.
Like when a character finds that he has to keep pushing a button on a bomb every 30 seconds to prevent it from going off. He could've just taken the bomb with him to the ship that would've fetched him, instead he was convinced that he just has to die. All because the writers needed him to remain there.

As long as they don't do it all the time I can live with it.
I rarely get into series like these but I've binged watched both one and two and interested to see how three pans out.
I like it, and hope that there will be more seasons of it, just not like some of the other shows I've watched, they turned weird as they changed the writers.
Falling skies was one of them.

Unfortunately, due to Netflix being either useless at negotiating with SyFy, being complete bathplugs™ or both, by the time it reaches the UK, the show has been broadcast everywhere else and they've had half a year to flood the internet with spoilers. Much the same as GoT tbh.
There's a series of novels that the show is based off of that I keep meaning to get into.
