General / Off-Topic The first bread

This is a site in Jordan, showing an ancient fire pit with remnants of scorched flatbread. It was carbon dated to 14,000 years old. It's the earliest discovery of bread anywhere.

This is excellent news! My doctor put me on a paleo diet some time back, which excluded bread and cereals. This new information puts bread back on the table.

Now, what was that pizza delivery phone number again?

lol - paleo diets are only silly when people buy into the "scientific history" of them. From a nutritional standpoint, there is nothing wrong with them :)

(Hey Motti :) )

Hey vin!

Well, the scientific part might hold water, but until my next appointment, I'm assuming that pizza is ok. She'll probably have a few choice words for me when I see her next, but it's always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. ;)

assuming they also adopt a paleo lifestyle, i.e. 6-8 hours daily of hunting and gathering plants, and are fine with a life span of about 30 years, yeah, makes total sense!

There was a comic once... can't remember who. Made a joke about how we'd all have lean, caveman bodies too if we had to stalk pints of Haagen Das across the plains for six hours before eating them. :D
