THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

... except tinfoil doesn't work against most aliens, gotta use aluminum, to be sure. Should've gone bauxite instead.

Sipping my coffee from my new FED mug  (not my choice, birthday present-significant additional ring in tree of life yesterday) and wondering what good the tinfoil hats did aganst the 'goid EMP or (fed convoy) weapons.

Think we might need to go for a new line- Tungsten or Depleted Uranium foil hats, or possibly Chobham Composite!

I'm gulping Coffee from my not-so-new FED mug. I chose mine though. ;)

In further GalNet tinfoilery, I posted a while back about "them" posting hidden messages on the Security/Conflict/Economy/States posts and had another thought: could the systems listed possibly make figures on GalMap? I'm not sure 10 vertices, drawing lines between sequential systems, would yield anything, but with three year's of data, maybe a pattern emerges?
Although you just have to ask why only certain wars, civil wars, famines, outbreaks and elections are ever reported on GalNet to get the tin foil out.

The little back water part of the bubble I call home never makes it onto the list for multiple factions in multiple systems in multiple states. And we only get a weekly news list while the map shows many more.

Could it be an attempt to target disruption in only certain systems?

Happy birthday for yesterday mate! Hope you had a great one!

Maybe the murderous penguin is merely a figment of Jorki's imagination that he is acting out as an alter-ego... Kind of like how Bradd Pitt's character in fight club was only a pgigment of the imaginaiton of Edward Norton's character.

Wait, what?
I have the same birthday as Jorki?
He'd better not be 47.

My murderous web-footed friend I can't even remember being 47!
I'm now officially an old age pensioner [yesnod]
...must fill out the application form

Congrats on such a large landmark birthday...

And I am genuinely oh so glad you play Elite, it makes me feel better about spending ridiculous amounts of cash on computer bits graphics cards, joysticks and vr goodies knowing I'm not the oldest gamer in the thread :p

Glad to be of service!
Though I didn't take the plunge into VR, I thought it a bit too expensive and maybe a tech generation too early as yet, and get enough nausea with the SRV bouncing around...
would like a much bigger display though, and a new graphics card, and some more RAM, and water cooling............
