Tinfoil of the day:

In March last year Kahina went to Earth (London), to be met by Ambassador Waite.

The name Waite leads to this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A._E._Waite

Arthur Edward Waite. An occultist, co-writer of the Rider-Waite Tarot deck and a member of the secret society 'The Golden Dawn'.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pictorial_Key_to_the_Tarot
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermetic_Order_of_the_Golden_Dawn

Some good tools for a fortune teller.

If this has anything to do with the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn then... I'm out. Those guys are creepy. Used to be a retirement community where I grew up called "Golden Dawn Estates" and lots of rumors about occult animal sacrifices found in the foothills nearby. Old creepy occultists are creepy.

Wonderful ... I actually found some other connections to the Free Mason/Rosicrucian orders. One the one hand that kind of thing is pretty easy to connect to when you're looking into 'mysteries', on the other hand I'm growing suspicious that maybe ancient mythology and the Illuminati type groups have been woven together somehow into this story. For example all the ancient myths were stories about aliens and what not, the Rosicrucians knew it and the 3300 analog is the Dark Wheel.

I've just started reading up on this but aren't we all taking the ramblings of a brainwashed old lady way too literally? She says she was just able to piece this info together but who says it's even right? Maybe it's completely backwards and is a manipulation to further keep this a secret? I mean all mention of being in or beyond the rift is from this old lady correct?

Did Kahina visit Oak Island when she went to Sol?

Sure. Maybe.

But the author of the story where that old lady made those claims has confirmed that there really is something "out there" related to the Rift that can be found in the game. We have more than one reason to engage in this quest.

I must have missed it. Where does he say it's in the rift? All I'm saying is maybe we need to be looking in another direction. Maybe the Apple "Core" Nebula. Lol

Yes. You missed it. March 3rd. Twitter:

"@drewwagar Mar 3
#FormidineRift.
1: Yes, it's in #Elitedangerous to be found.
2. You do not need Horizons.
3. Whether it's found depends on who goes looking."

Um.... I'm not doubting he said it. I've read that. That doesn't mean we need to look in the rift though? I read that as:

1. It's in the galaxy. (Not necessarily the rift)
2. It's not on the surface.
3. Who knows on that one.

It fits rather well with the current story line. Palin talked about dark organisations behind his abduction.
The Traders Guild, fits well with a basic Free Mason group.

A E Waite formed his own group, called the Fellowship of the Rosy Cross. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosy_Cross#Fellowship_of_the_Rosy_Cross

I don't know if there is a ROsy Cross connection.

The real story is probably has elements of these things, but is simpler than it may look with all this mad stuff.

I think a more logical assumption for "dark organizations" would be to think Dark Wheel, INRA, or CIEP, all of which are either known to be in-game or are canon and therefore could very likely be in-game. Not to mention the major power intelligence services. Let's not go too far into the deep end here.

I'm thinking Emperor's Dawn.

As Palin said the names changes, but their methods remain the same.

Currently i'm checking all systems/sectors starting with NGC.

There is one small nebula, called NGC 1491, little south from R-R line, and almost at the edge. Worth looking?

Wouldnt' bother with 1491, unless you just want to go there for exploration kudos, myself and a couple of other CMDR's have been there, not much to see.

All of the hints, plus the story depict that it is related to the Rift area, I suggest starting over back on page one maybe you missed one of the more specific revelations.

Okay I shall read it one more time. At any rate I'm turning my current exploration trip around and heading to the rift tonight.

It looks like there are two or three in there to me, I'll check it out shouldn't be too long to survey. The rift's not going anywhere.

I may have it confused with the Cave Nebula - it's been a while and not in game at the moment so can't check.
