very cool indeed
but im having trouble e following the path
GraphicsConfigurationOverride.xml inside your home directory under the (possibly hidden) directory AppData/Local (Windows) or Library/Application Support (OS X), and there under the directory Frontier Developments/Elite Dangerous/Options/Graphics.
home directory ? is this c drive as I cannot find appdata
can anyone help an old timer please
thanks in advance
On the C drive, yes - in Windows 7 you will find a folder called "Users" - in there you will find a folder with your username - in there is a folder called AppData - in there a folder called Local - then Frontier Developments (
not with an underline) then it is Elite Dangerous then it is Options then it is Graphics where you will find the file - if the file doesn't exist (it doesn't always), you will have to create it yourself using notepad with the content as shown on the web page
http://arkku.com/elite/hud_editor/ . If you use Steam, I have no idea where they store the files.

Am an oldy too and gave up i found it all rather confusing all i wanted to alter was the station text color like the guy in the video i linked has his gui is still orange play vid at 41:44 green text and green station on scanner
I have found that the theme "mocha" by user Uncertain to be the most useful. (I wanted a theme that alleviated the blurry HUD text in v1.4 but wasn't too "different") The friends are a sort of teal shade of green that is distinctive but everything else on the scanner looks almost the same, just more "subdued". See if it is of use:
