The inaugural endurance race for the Hutton Cup....

Right - we're working through the paperwork entries at the moment.....

Taking us a while, depite the live streams submitted and my own one to verify everyone's submissions as accurate.
So - slap on the wrist to you racers for your shoddy paperwork!!!!! (naming no names).

We haven't received race logs and proof from:

The Lonely Trucker (princeofmellon)
HOT RIMS - yes, our very own team!
Shine Runners - Mushious/Planetmans
FortheGenepool - Sneevis and Levofski
Insanity Yellow Wing
Goose Grylls Challenge
Mugged by an Orc - Jintosh

Yes we had a few instancing issues with our team as well.
2) Sudden disappearance of a fellow commander in a wing when we were in private group by just the 2 of us.
We saw the wing beacons but the SRV and ships were not there to see, interact, bumped or anything, the only solution to this was to get into orbit and glide back).
We (BRC) were in Open but we saw this happening a lot. Also had several occasions where, to one observer, the SRV appeared to start spinning and flying up into orbit while to another it continued to drive along as normal.

Also had numerous instances of still being able to see another wing/team member's ship/SRV but no longer being able to target it.

P.S. in case it helps any on-going post-race discussion I thought it might be useful to upload this awesome route map which was put together for our team by Cmdr Kliggish ..

Sent it to Splendour imediately after finishing, just replied to the PM I recieved. Have PM'd you with the log as well.

P.S. I guess I can't nominate myself for inadvertantly guiding Timmy Brabston? You want evidence? Check out the cheeky blighter as he momentarily pops into view screen-left around the 26m30s mark in this video of me guiding Kliggish.

But seriously, no hard feelings Timmy (we assume that was you), all's fair in love and buggy racing - good tactics! :D

Haha! I was so happy i caught up with you because every time i saw you guys you seemed to get farther and farther ahead, but then i just lost sight of everyone around the halfway point. I really thought you guys were ahead of me the whole time. Actually I had my route all planned out ahead of time (which I ended up royally screwing up anyway) but seeing you guys pop up ahead of me every so often did act as motivation to just push through all the canyons and craters I accidentally fell into, so you can have my nomination!

As far as instancing issues, I experienced the classic hull damage when I was winged up with any of the mods, and I think Vingtetun mentioned at one point he saw my srv flipping around and out of control up in the sky. I also experienced frequent fps drops from 60 to as low as like 6 fps. At the low fps my controls became hyper sensitive and I'd go into a frenzy any time I tried to turn on ground or adjust myself in the air. I thought maybe it was because I was streaming but it persisted even after lowering my graphics settings in game and my streaming settings. I had done a test stream a few days earlier and didn't have any problems either.

Oh and I crashed to desktop when I requested docking with Gooch's Progress.

I'm afraid all I have is the start screenshots. I suffered from the four-hour-exploding-srv, and after a 3am finish to the previous night felt a DNF plus a good night's sleep was probably the better part of valour ;-)

I'll send in what I do have if you still want it though.

...and again, thank you to all the organisers for their hard work. Even my short stint was huge amounts of fun, and I look forward to getting to the finish line when the next race happens.

I'd like to nominate the pilots who came to spot the route for me on sunday afternoon.

I'm not sure if they were racers themselves, but the company and route finding were really appreciated after basically being alone for 10+ hours on saturday
Thank you. I was one of them :) (French Cobra). I'd just logged in to go back home, then saw that Vingetetun and co were in Local so decided to pop along and help.

As was I lighting the beacons with my Golden Asp ;)

Finally uploaded, Elite Racers (Team Redliners) full endurance race video 5h38m

Race time 5h19m

Currently going through the video adding bookmarks in the description

Skip to 5:32:15 if you want to see an SRV blow up a DBX.

Sadly my logbook perished in a ln alcohol fueled fireball.

Apologies when I went off the edge as well!

As to nominations, I'd like to nominate the Diamondfrogs for quickly throwing a wing together when 'the ubmentionables' reverted to form.

We'll up for this next time, although I might have to eat something and drink less!

Yeah ... I could have driven there and back 6 or 7 times by now, come on! :D:x[haha]
Well, it might take a little bit longer to confirm OUR record.

Can you confirm that our team 'The Mug Express' was the slowest team and it took us about 14 hours to complete the race track? [wacky]

btw - thanks for your patience and support race marshals. [up] Next time we'll focus more on the 'racing' aspect and not so much on 'endurance'. ;) :D
